Position Overview The Assistant Director of Marketing plays a key role in driving top-line revenue growth across our markets by supporting the execution of marketing strategy, brand positioning, creative campaigns, social media, and digital marketing. This position is designed to support one specific market, working across multiple concepts within that city’s portfolio — including restaurants, lounges, and entertainment-driven venues.
The role supports the development and implementation of marketing plans, manages content calendars, collaborates on programming, and ensures flawless execution of brand standards across markets. The Assistant Director partners closely with the Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Entertainment & Programming and local operating teams to keep Carver Road’s properties competitive, relevant, and ahead of market trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of marketing strategies and plans across all assigned markets and brands.
- Collaborate directly with the VP of Marketing & VP of Entertainment for approvals, feedback, and direction.
- Manage and maintain marketing calendars, content schedules, and activation timelines.
- Assist with the rollout of brand campaigns, major announcements, new openings, and property initiatives.
- Stay ahead of local and national market trends in hospitality, food & beverage, nightlife, and entertainment.
- Work with PR teams on messaging, press releases, and storytelling.
- Lead the coordination of social media content, digital campaigns, and photo/video asset management.
- Manage Marketing Team in the dedicated market assigned too and representing.
- Assist with ideation and execution of marketing stunts, partnerships, influencer programs, and brand collaborations.
- Manage and monitor assigned marketing budgets, vendor relationships, and invoice tracking.
- Oversee digital platforms ensuring all content, events, and assets are accurate and updated.
- Review and negotiate media agreements with direction from leadership.
- Participate in weekly marketing team meetings across all markets.
- Continuously ideating with the Marketing & Operations Teams and finding means of driving top line revenue year over year.
- Lead programs and create systems within the marketing space where opportunities arise and ensuring checks and balances in place.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Prior Hospitality & Marketing role a plus.
- 5-7 years of marketing experience in hospitality, entertainment, or lifestyle brands.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects across multiple markets.
- Skilled in digital marketing, social media, content creation, and brand storytelling.
- Experience working with executive teams, operations, and ownership groups.
- Familiarity with marketing budgets, media buying, and ROI tracking.
- Strong copywriting, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; Canva, Adobe Suite a plus.
- Proficient in F&B reservation platforms (SevenRooms, OpenTable, Resy).
- Proficient in major social platforms (Meta, TikTok, X, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn).
- A proactive problem solver with the ability to pivot quickly.
