Seeking a dynamic, strategic, and hands-on Regional Marketing Director to lead our North American marketing efforts. This role will be responsible for driving B2B portfolio brand equity and products while also building and executing joint marketing programs with value chain partners (B2B2C and B2C) in the apparel business. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in commercial marketing with a demonstrated ability to build collaborative, cross-functional programs that span our apparel value chain — from product innovation and commercial sales to end-consumer activation with downstream retail and brand partners.

This role will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and be based in Wilmington, Delaware. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key responsibilities, among others as business needs evolve:

Regional B2B Commercial Marketing:

  • Develop and execute North American marketing strategies to support product and commercial objectives.
  • Partner closely with global marketing and commercial teams to align marketing initiatives with revenue targets.Develop regionally relevant messaging, storytelling, activation and events aligned with global brand strategy.
  • Lead region specific media buying strategy and execution
  • Lead region specific trade show and event strategy and execution
  • Build our brand and leadership credentials at trade level to accelerate commercial adoptions while creating distinct value for our partners along the value chain.
  • Lead the pitching and development of bespoke customer merchandising tools, brand identification to leverage our brands’ storytelling for co-branded programs with brands and retailers.
  • Continually innovate our communication/promotion strategies and tactics.

Value Chain Partner Marketing (B2B2C/B2C)

  • Co-pitch (with sales) to build joint marketing plans with brand, retail, and manufacturing partners to support our brand equity and drive pull at the retail level.
  • Partner with global brand and product marketing teams to simplify technical product stories into compelling narratives.
  • Manage co-marketing initiatives including joint campaigns, partner events, co-branded content, influencer collaborations, and retail activations.

Brand Management and Cross Functional Collaboration:

  • Steward of each brand’s vision, position, and architecture.
  • Work closely with global marketing counterparts to ensure regional alignment with global brand standards, positioning, and messaging.
  • Serve as a regional subject matter expert providing market insights, consumer trends, and competitive intelligence to inform global strategies.
  • Ensure appropriate controls and processes for communications.
  • Engage, inspire and galvanize the organization around each brand’s vision, position and strategies.
  • Lead co-branding programs downstream.
  • Lead internal and external communications activities that reflect and reinforce the brand’s positioning.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated Marketing Communications experience for B2B and B2C audiences for on-line and off-line channels.
  • Strong organization and management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and work well under tight timelines.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate, and influencer of internal and external audiences.
  • Deep understanding of digital communications, platforms, media and content performance across multiple channels including websites, social media, and e-mail.
  • Proven ability to manage agency relations and multiple agency partners/freelancers.
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, results-driven self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related area of study.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Apparel Merchandising experience.
  • Ingredient brand experience
  • MBA in Marketing or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English or equivalent.
