Role Description:

The Director, Social Media Marketing & Brand Partnerships is responsible for leading Burger King's social media strategy and strategic partnership development. This role focuses on enhancing brand visibility and engagement through innovative social campaigns and high-impact partnerships. The Director will manage both organic and paid social strategies, influencer programs, and key brand partnerships (e.g., IPs, media extensions, sports properties), aligning all efforts with the brand’s purpose and business goals.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement Burger King's social media strategy across platforms, including influencer marketing.
  • Oversee content creation and paid asset development to drive engagement and business performance.
  • Monitor social trends and performance, structuring a learning agenda in partnership with analytics to optimize results.

Partnership Development & Management

  • Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships that align with brand values and growth pillars.
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure execution maximizes brand impact and ROI.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align partnership initiatives with broader marketing strategies.

Stakeholder & Agency Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison for internal leadership and cross-functional teams on social and partnership strategies.
  • Manage external agencies and define effective ways of working to ensure high-quality execution.

Budget & Financial Oversight

  • Oversee social and partnership agency scopes of work and manage non-working budget allocations.
  • Make investment decisions for IP/media commitments and experiential programs in collaboration with marketing leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in partnerships marketing, audience acquisition and management, and/or social strategy.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to connect branding efforts to business outcomes.
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
