Summary
The Social Media & Digital Engagement Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance brand awareness, donor engagement, and community outreach. This role involves content creation, social media management, website updates, and digital marketing efforts to promote Catholic Charities' mission and initiatives effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Social Media & Content Creation
·Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to increase online visibility and engagement across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
·Create and schedule engaging content that promotes the agency's programs, initiatives, events, and success stories.
·Monitor, respond to, and engage with online audiences in a timely and professional manner.
·Track and analyze social media performance using analytics tools and adjust strategies as needed to improve engagement and reach.
·Develop original and impactful digital content (graphics, videos, blogs, infographics, etc.) that resonates with target audiences, telling the agency's story and highlighting its mission and impact.
·Collaborate with other departments to capture and share success stories, client testimonials, and program updates.
· Ensure all content aligns with the agency's brand and voice.
Community Engagement
· Foster online relationships with followers, community members, partners, donors, and other stakeholders.
· Build partnerships with influencers, bloggers, and media outlets to amplify the agency's message and reach.
·Respond to inquiries, comments, and messages in a positive, empathetic, and timely manner.
Campaign Planning and Execution
·Plan and execute digital campaigns that drive awareness, donations, and participation in agency events or programs.
·Coordinate with Department Director development and fundraising efforts to support online campaigns related to donations, volunteering, and advocacy.
Website Management
·Regularly update the agency’s website to ensure content is current, accessible, and user-friendly.
Reporting & Analysis
Provide monthly reports on the performance of social media platforms, digital content, and engagement strategies.
· Monitor trends and best practices in digital marketing and social media to keep the agency’s strategies innovative and effective.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Complies with all applicable training requirements.
· Complies with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and procedures.
· Complies with work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programs.
· Contributes positively as a member of a productive and cooperative team.
· Participates in Agency Performance Quality Improvement (/PQI) program and Accreditation/Reaccreditation process.
·Performs other duties as necessary to fulfill Catholic Charities Diocese of St Petersburg, Inc. Mission.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Able to speak, write and understand English.

- Flexible work schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to set appropriate limits, work under deadlines and multi-task.

- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Possess strong work ethics.
- Successfully pass a FDLE Level II background screening.
- Valid Florida driver’s license, ability to drive van or bus and have reliable transportation.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficiency with social media platforms and digital marketing tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports on digital engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in content creation, social media management, and digital marketing.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create compelling digital content.
- Familiarity with social media analytics, SEO, and email marketing tools.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in social media, branding, digital marketing, special events, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content creation, preferably within a non-profit or social services environment.
- Proven experience in digital marketing or social media management.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on relationship management.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and web analytics tools is a plus.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is preferred but not required.
- Ability to conduct research and stay updated on industry trends.
- Bilingual a plus.
