Job Summary
The Marketing Specialist – Goalie is a creative professional responsible for the concept, development, and execution of marketing campaigns, original content, and product storytelling focused on the Goalie category. This role plays a vital part in driving engagement across retail and eCommerce platforms by showcasing product knowledge, on-camera personality, and category leadership. The position requires independent judgment and artistic talent to craft compelling media, collaborate cross-functionally, and elevate MonkeySports as the premier destination for baseball and softball gear and expertise.
Requirements: Essential Job Functions
- Develop original written and visual content tailored to the hockey and goalie communities, including product reviews, launch announcements, buying guides, and event promotion.
- Serve as an on-camera personality for Goalie-focused video content, tutorials, and social features.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns in collaboration with the creative, photo, eCommerce, and retail teams.
- Write product copy, blogs, and content for digital platforms highlighting technical specs and customer benefits.
- Monitor trends, new equipment launches, athlete insights, and seasonal opportunities specific to Goalie.
- Coordinate timelines, project schedules, and creative feedback loops for campaign execution.
- Manage influencer and affiliate partnerships within the Goalie community—recruit, engage, and track performance.
- Assist in building vendor relationships and executing co-branded marketing initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Act as the internal subject matter expert for Goalie marketing.
- Assist with in-store marketing materials, digital signage, and promotional displays.
- Support and contribute to social media strategies, including user-generated content and community engagement.
- Represent MonkeySports at brand events, demos, and vendor activations—online or in person.
- Uphold brand voice and consistency across all content and outreach.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in sports marketing, digital content, or retail preferred.
- Expertise in Goalie equipment, culture, and terminology.
- Experience with influencer or affiliate marketing programs strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable on camera and familiar with photo/video production processes.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and basic CMS platforms.
- Bonus: SEO knowledge, graphic design or video editing, Meta Ads Manager experience.
Cognitive and Physical Demands:
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage campaign timelines.
- Willingness to take feedback and iterate in a team environment.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods; lift up to 50 lbs for event setups or product shoots.
Working Conditions:
- Primary work location is the MonkeySports Corporate Office in Allen, TX.
- Occasional travel to retail locations, events, or vendor meetings.
- Flexible work schedule, depending on campaign needs and performance.
- Evening or weekend availability may be required during key promotions or events.
