Alameda Brewing is looking for a passionate, community-focused Marketing and Events Coordinator to help us share our story and build deeper connections with our guests. This role blends creative digital marketing with grassroots event planning to grow our brewery’s presence both online and in the taproom. Key Responsibilities
Marketing
- Plan, create, and schedule engaging content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
- Highlight our beer releases, brewery culture, events, staff, and community involvement.
- Capture and edit on-brand photos and videos—sometimes on the fly in the taproom or at festivals.
- Manage social media interactions, respond to DMs/comments, and foster community engagement.
- Track analytics to measure performance and adjust strategy based on trends and insights.
- Support paid social campaigns for beer launches, events, and seasonal promos.
- Ensure consistency across the board in messaging, branding, and other mediums in order to build brand awareness and market share.
- Support Wholesale Sales team with developing POS materials.
Event Coordination
- Plan and execute brewery-hosted events like release parties, trivia nights, tap takeovers, markets, festivals, and community fundraisers.
- Coordinate logistics: vendors, entertainment, permits, décor, supplies, and staff involvement.
- Collaborate with the brewing and taproom teams to align event themes and timing with brand goals.
- Promote events across digital channels, email lists, and local partnerships.
- Act as on-site lead during events including beer festivals to ensure a smooth experience and strong brand representation.
- Capture and share live event content for social media.
- Contribute to email newsletters, blog posts, or website updates.
- Maintain an organized marketing and event calendar.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, influencers, and community groups.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in social media, event coordination, or marketing—craft beer, hospitality, or lifestyle brand experience preferred.
- Strong storytelling and copywriting skills with an authentic and witty brand voice.
- Comfort with mobile content creation—basic photography and video editing skills are a must.
- Familiarity with tools like Canva, Instagram Reels, Facebook Business Suite, Mailchimp, or similar.
- Experience planning and managing events, preferably in a fast-paced customer-facing setting.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. Be on your feet during event setup/tear-down.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for events.
Preferred but Not Required
- Passion for craft beer, brewing knowledge a plus.
- Graphic design or brand merch design experience.
- Existing network within the local food, beverage, or event scene.
