This is a temporary position. The Director, Luxury Content Marketing, is a key member of the Content Experience and Luxury Group Marketing teams, leading creative storytelling and social and content marketing efforts for The Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis Hotels & Resorts. This position will lead the content strategies for these brands, guiding creative and messaging and bringing to life activations across the social and digital ecosystem. This role will set objectives and KPI’s across the comprehensive brand digital ecosystem consisting of dedicated brand websites, brand social media channels, Marriott.com and other Marriott digital touchpoints. This role will work with Brand, Partnerships and PR teams and will need to be an innovator – supporting the brand’s overarching strategies (i.e engagement, awareness, etc) on key platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and more. This role will lead storytelling efforts in support of key brand marketing objectives, with a focus on breakthrough work that captures attention and drives engagement for our brands. The Director, Luxury Content Marketing is responsible for the Evergreen Paid Social content plan, developing engaging boosted/dark posts to drive brand comprehension, awareness and consideration in partnership with the Paid Social team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social channel and creative content strategy, with a proven track-record in leading break-through creative work, and an interest in emerging platforms, innovative executions and have a passion for brand. This role will work closely with the leadership team to drive synergy and execute key segment initiatives across the Content Experience team. This role will report to the Sr. Director Luxury Content Marketing and partner closely with key members of brand marketing teams, public relations, partnerships, digital product, external agencies, key hotel stakeholders, and the field/continental organizations. The role will manage agency teams directly as necessary.

CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience* 8+ years experience in social media/marketing and/or content marketing, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional creative performance

AND* 4-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related major.

  • Experience managing and defining social and content strategies.
  • Experience managing and directing multiple agencies/vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated experience with digital marketing and advertising execution
  • Solid understanding of cultural and social marketing trends and industry best practices
  • Demonstrated experience with social media influencer programs
  • Demonstrated experience with digital campaign analytics and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience and success in a highly matrixed cross functional organization.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Content Strategy and Execution* Leads content marketing strategy to support Luxury brand campaigns, initiatives and partnerships, along with evergreen proof points through social media campaigns and content. Manages and advises on appropriate level of support needed across all initiatives.

  • Set strategy and oversee storytelling calendar for all paid and organic content to be published on brand channels (Brand.com, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.), including content franchise creation.
  • Lead development of program strategy documents (i.e., content strategy, campaign creative strategy, influencer strategy, community, social tone/voice/design)
  • Develop storytelling and distribution strategy and oversee agency execution ranging from on-site content production, real-time distribution, live events, and beyond.
  • Partner with other Content Experience team members to ensure brand storytelling efforts and editorial calendars are calibrated to maximize the collective reach and impact of the brand’s content marketing programs.
  • Drive creative innovation and special projects workstreams
  • Provide oversight to creative storytelling and content franchise creation.

Reporting and Analysis* Develop and socialize post-campaign analyses. Support a test-and-learn mindset to continually optimize content performance.

  • Continually optimize always-on evergreen media, using data to inform the development of future creative assets
  • Partner with Measurement and Analytics team on dashboard creation, KPI definition and alignment, and regularly report out performance and learnings to key stakeholders and executive team
  • Work with agencies and internal teams to align on KPIs to support the larger organization’s goals.
  • Monitor and report out on industry best practices and competitive/landscape trends. Consult and Partner with stakeholders to provide expertise
  • Work with internal and agency teams to develop creative and content for evergreen initiatives, large program campaigns and partner messaging.
  • Contract production and agency teams as necessary and usher through Marriott Contract approval processes.
  • Manage social approach to crisis comms at brand level, act as Social Subject Matter Expert for highly confidential and sensitive crisis comms.
  • Collaborate and foster ongoing dialogue with continent brand organization to enhance the brands through continent-led content. Serve as strategic thought leader in guiding direction of continent and hotel-led content.
  • Liaise with other internal content teams to collaborate on best practices and customer care integration.
  • Work with media teams and creative agencies to traffic and activate paid social evergreen campaigns, including creation of briefs, routing assets for approvals, asset delivery and management of deadlines with cross-functional teams
  • Liase with internal and external PR teams to ensure tight integration and holistic campaigns.

The pay range for this position is $60.38 to $83.03 per hour.
