Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $108,800.00 - $181,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Lead Product Manager

As a Lead Product Manager for the fast growing Cox Mobile residential offering, the candidate provides continuous and visible leadership for current product performance and future development and go to market plans. You will be accountable for and serve as the authority on all aspects of the product portfolio lifecycle that impacts hundreds of thousands of Cox Mobile customers. This includes defining simple and intuitive offers, authoring business case, strategic product vision, product requirements, advocating for customer experience, define and coordinate launch activities, define and manage financial and operating metrics, enhancement priorities and product roadmaps. You will be recognized as the top subject matter expert on a portfolio of products. May be responsible for product program(s) that involve single to multi-year plans. Develops or provides guidance to develop innovative solutions to highly complex matters. Provides influence and leadership to cross-functional teams and other stakeholders on ideas and solutions that impact industry and/or corporate results. Provides mentorship and guidance to team members and associates.

The candidate will lead cross-functional teams by example, demonstrating passion and drive to satisfy customer needs. Builds consensus and drives various Technology professionals, Sales, Service, Marketing, Customer Experience and Insights, Training, Change Management, Legal, system architects and subject matter experts to help produce actionable results. Elevates customer experience through product innovation and/or improvements to internal organization, processes, and technology. Synthesizes information to determine both current and future (years in advance) customer needs. Provides input into budget decisions. Responsible for product portfolio roadmaps requiring multiple year plans. Operates with extensive latitude for independent judgment within operational parameters. Recommends resources needed to address/balance customer needs. Negotiates issues with peers and 1st level management to synthesize ideas and solutions that impact operational results. Provides mentorship and guidance to team members and associates.

What You'll Do

  • Accountable for the completion of the full product development lifecycle and successful market launch. In partnership with Product Operations, accountable for product lifecycle developments once in in production.

  • Accountable for the achievement of business objectives through planning, resourcing, monitoring accuracy of work, etc.

  • Serves as champion for product initiatives to obtain necessary cross-functional support and sponsorship. Directly and indirectly influences others to garner needed resources and support.

  • Exhibits leadership with respect to project development, team interactions, business insights and product management.

  • Partners with the Markets, Sales, Service, Marketing, Finance, Customer Experience to generate business insights and create business cases which can guide product solutions.

  • Identifies customer expectations and unmet needs with product and services to innovate and create solutions that address gaps and create a delightful customer experience. Directs product features from ideation through development, testing and go-to-market.

  • Builds a strong partnership with the Technology organization. Curious on new mobile services, cloud technologies, new mobile devices and consumer electronics.

  • Understands the Technical design and in strong partnership with Tech Development Leads/Architects and UX leads is accountable and responsible for creation of business requirements. Business requirements are design driven and include definition of policies and process in parallel.

  • Analyzes customer, business and product performance metrics and interpret underlying drivers to translate into data-based recommendations.

  • Develops product family strategic vision; translates vision into clear and defined business requirements to drive functional specifications and technical requirements.

  • Drives the development of business cases which define the product value proposition to support product and services roadmap investments in collaboration with business partners.

  • Creates, sustain and optimizes operational practices and procedures to drive efficiencies.

  • Monitors developments within the industry, vendor community and technology trends in general to consider implications and benefits to customer expectations and product roadmaps.

  • Is consulted by associates and others with a high degree of reliance placed on his/her interpretations and advice.

  • Contributes to recommendations to management regarding facilities, personnel, and funds required to carry out product programs that are directly related with and directed towards fulfillment of overall organizational objectives.

Who You Are Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (e.g. Technology, Marketing, Process Improvement, etc.) and 6 years of experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years of experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience in a related field; or 10 years of experience in a related field.

  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.

  • Demonstrate strong technical and market knowledge.

Preferred

  • Experience in telecommunications or high-tech environment

  • Technical understanding within the wireless industry and mobile consumer electronics

  • Agile product development

  • Design Thinking, Customer Market Research, A/B Testing, Customer Experience Testing

  • Embedding Artificial Intelligence into products/offerings
