We’re a growing brand rooted in the home and garden industry, and we’re looking for a creative, strategic social media lead to help tell our story and grow our community online.
The Role
We’re hiring a Social Media Lead to own our presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X to build the network of creators and affiliates who amplify it. This is a hands-on role for someone who lives and breathes social media, understands how to grow an audience organically, and knows how to cultivate genuine relationships with influencers and brand partners.
You’ll be responsible for the full content lifecycle — from research and ideation to creation, scheduling, publishing, and reporting — while simultaneously managing an active affiliate and influencer program. This isn’t a “post and ghost” position. We want someone who is genuinely curious about what’s working, what’s not, and why, and who brings real creative energy to everything they touch.
Oh, and one more thing: you’ll need a home garden of your own. We make products for people who get their hands dirty, and we want someone on our team who does too.
What You’ll Do
Content & Channel Management
You will own and manage a monthly content calendar spanning Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok ensuring a consistent publishing cadence that aligns with brand priorities and seasonal moments. Each month, you will produce a mix of static posts (delivered at 1080 x 1350) and short-form video content, complete with captions optimized for each platform’s tone and audience. You’ll handle all scheduling and publishing, and deliver a monthly organic performance report covering reach, engagement, follower growth, and content performance to inform the strategy going forward.
Staying current is a core part of the job. You’ll conduct ongoing trend and concept research to identify platform-specific opportunities, emerging formats, and relevant cultural moments that can be authentically tied back to the Just Good Soil brand.
Affiliate & Influencer Management
You’ll own our affiliate and influencer program end-to-end. That means proactively recruiting new affiliates and influencers who are a genuine fit for the brand, managing all outreach and ongoing communications, and building relationships that go beyond a single post.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Recruiting new affiliates and influencers aligned with the Just Good Soil brand
- Managing all communications, outreach, and ongoing relationship-building
- Coordinating influencer and affiliate campaigns from brief to delivery
- Sourcing UGC assets for use across owned and paid channels
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of hands-on social media experience, ideally with a consumer or lifestyle brand, plus demonstrated experience managing influencer or affiliate relationships. You should have a strong eye for visual content, comfort in front of (and behind) a camera, and the ability to write captions that sound human, not corporate. Experience with short-form video — shooting, editing, or both — is essential, and basic video editing skills are a must.
You’re organized enough to juggle a multi-platform content calendar and an active creator network at the same time, analytical enough to interpret your own performance data, and personable enough to build real relationships with partners. Familiarity with scheduling tools and affiliate/influencer platforms (Social Snowball) is expected.
A genuine passion for gardening, soil health, regenerative agriculture, or growing things is essential — and this brings us to a firm requirement: you must have an active home garden that you’re able to shoot content in. Our audience can tell when someone actually cares about what they’re posting, and there’s no better proof of that than dirt under your fingernails. Access to a greenhouse is a bonus and will be looked on very favorably.
Nice to Have
Experience growing an account from an early stage, a background in content strategy or brand marketing, familiarity with Meta Business Suite, TikTok analytics, Social Snowball, and existing relationships within the gardening or homesteading creator community are all welcome additions.

Qualifications
- Experience in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO)
- Skills in Content Strategy and crafting engaging campaigns
- Strong Communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively
- Background in Digital Marketing and online brand growth
- Knowledge of gardening, soil science, or eco-conscious practices is a plus
- Ability to analyze metrics and adjust strategies to meet key performance indicators
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
