Position Summary

Bright Antenna seeks a Director of Digital Marketing to work collaboratively across the entire organization, provide leadership to a staff of two, and work well with artists and their teams. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience marketing artists and releases in the music industry, and pride themselves in staying ahead of the platforms, techniques and digital strategies that drive artist discovery, fan engagement, and streaming consumption. Qualified candidates will have a track record of working with debut and established artists and building their audiences with innovative digital campaigns that utilize a range of elements including organic, socials, short form, influencer, analytics and more. Importantly, candidates should align with Bright Antenna’s ethos and culture, and be smart, engaged, hardworking, tenacious, collaborative, passionate about music generally, and committed to making an impact for the artists they serve.

This role is full-time and 4-days a week in Bright Antenna’s headquarters in Mill Valley, CA, remote on Fridays and reports to the General Manager.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Work closely with artists and their teams to create and implement innovative digital marketing strategies.
  • Produce digital marketing plans and timelines for album and single releases, including detailed steps to execute the plan and budget allocation.
  • Create a digital marketing strategy including: content planning, creator partnerships, social media, influencer marketing, community building, websites, and budget forecasting.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the internal team, content producers, creative directors, videographers/photographers, editors, and designers to deliver planned content.
  • Closely follow latest trends by strategizing ways for our artists to lead cultural conversations and internet discourse.
  • Work closely with the insight team to gather digital health checks to analyze audience-related performance data and create meaningful reports.
  • Strategize and deliver artist database growth and CRM strategy via email marketing, community-based platforms, messaging, etc.
  • Actively engage with AI, new tech, and emerging innovations to spark fresh ideas for marketing campaigns.
  • Find and nurture new digital partnerships, and create and implement marketing opportunities with digital partners.
  • Seek out information on evolving digital and tech trends.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in music digital marketing or social media.
  • Expert in social media strategy with a strong command of emerging trends, content creation, and performance optimization; able to leverage data-driven insights to maximize audience growth, artist reach, and engagement across platforms.
  • Experience in executing cutting-edge digital strategies to elevate BA’s artists.
  • Experience in running engaging and innovative creator partnerships.
  • Avid interest in AI, new technologies, and driven innovation by integrating third-party APIs into product workflows to enhance marketing initiatives and user experiences.
  • Practical and organized and familiarity with music industry tools for analytics, smart-linking, advertising, social posting, etc.
  • Experience with fandoms and understanding of how to best activate and excite fans around a release.
  • Detail oriented, with ability to track and to follow through on multiple projects.
  • Respectful, honest and confident communicator, happy to work within a team and manage others.
  • Passion for music and strong familiarity with the music industry.

Bonus Experience

  • Feeding meme culture and seeding content out to spread online through various communities.
  • Building custom landing pages, micro-sites, or unique fan/artist experiences.
  • Integrating DSPs, social platforms, or e-commerce solutions to create seamless digital ecosystems.
  • Connecting various marketing platforms, CRM systems, CMS tools, or analytics platforms to streamline operations and insights.
  • Ability to build custom data pipelines or automations to optimize workflows and reporting.

Compensation

Competitive salary, incentive and benefits will be offered, commensurate with the role and the final hire’s experience. Depending on the job relevant knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, network and location of the final hire, the base salary is anticipated at an annual rate in the range of $100K to $110K.
