Position: Growth Marketing Lead – Communications Specialist

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee (Hybrid – remote & in‑office)

Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Established in 2015 by the U.S. Department of Energy, IACMI is part of the Manufacturing USA® network. Since 2019, IACMI has scaled workforce programs for the U.S. Department of War (DoW) and is supported by the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) program within the Innovation Capability and Modernization (ICAM) office.

Position Summary:

IACMI is seeking a s trategic, creative Growth Marketing Lead to build awareness and engagement for national workforce initiatives, including METAL (Metallurgical Engineering Trades Apprenticeships & Learning) and related programs.

In this role, you’ll transform compelling stories, content, and program milestones into high‑performing, integrated digital campaigns that grow audiences, increase visibility, and drive participation across industry, education, and workforce communities.

This role reports to the DoW Communications & Public Affairs Manager and works closely with communications, creative, and program teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns aligned with workforce and organizational priorities
  • Amplify program milestones, launches, events, and announcements through coordinated digital campaigns
  • Grow audiences across LinkedIn, YouTube, and other digital channels
  • Repurpose existing content into high‑performing assets (short‑form video, reels, posts, visual storytelling)
  • Expand reach via newsletters, partner channels, media, podcasts, and influencer strategies
  • Collaborate with communications, creative, program, and events teams
  • Coordinate with events marketing to drive awareness and participation
  • Track performance metrics, audience growth, and engagement to refine strategy
  • Support reporting and continuous improvement of digital marketing workflows

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field OR 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience developing digital campaigns and driving audience growth
  • Strong understanding of social media marketing and engagement trends
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively with distributed teams
  • Enthusiasm for IACMI’s mission

Preferred

  • Experience in manufacturing, workforce development, education, or STEM initiatives
  • Experience with marketing analytics and social media performance tools
  • Experience working in multi‑stakeholder or grant‑funded environments

Additional Requirements

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% (including overnight travel)
