This position is responsible for ultimate ownership of all assigned products, with key responsibilities spanning five core areas: partner relationship management, operations management and support, financial oversight, and business strategy development.

As the key subject matter expert and influencer, the senior product manager develops and drives both individual and bundled product vision and strategy, collaborating across distribution partners and internal teams—including executive leadership, sales, marketing, finance, and legal —to ensure both strategic and financial alignment and execution of product and enterprise-wide initiatives.

This role contributes to the short-and long-term business goals by identifying market trends, optimizing product performance, and fostering strong partnerships that support sustainable growth and competitive advantage by empowering, influencing, and assisting the sales team to effectively promote and position offerings and drive revenue growth.

Job Duties And Responsibilities Product & Partner Relationship Management

  • Take ultimate ownership of assigned products and partner relationships.
  • Manage multiple products or programs with strategic interdependencies.
  • Utilize deep expertise in Allied products and serve as the go-to-resource.
  • Actively participate in councils/focus groups and/or mentor newer product managers.
  • Foster and manage relationships with key partner contacts, including leadership, to ensure ongoing strategic alignment.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on how to effectively work with Allied Reps.
  • Ensure partner and Allied reps are working cohesively and partner’s actions are complementary to Allied’s.
  • Monitor and manage partner quality including actual product performance, sales representative performance, and company actions.
  • Design and manage product/program lifecycle.
  • Serve as primary resource for business and statistical analysis, delivering key insights to senior leadership including CEO, EVP Sales, Regional Sales SVPs, EVP & SVP of Product, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage escalated client and partner issues; this includes facilitating and leading calls with clients and partners to deescalate issues to grow and retain business.

Operations, Compliance, and Financial Oversight

  • Ensure adherence to compliance regulations/requirements.
  • Manage and monitor monthly product financials to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Conduct provider commission audits and resolve any identified issues.
  • Own P&L accountability and lead financial forecasting.
  • Analyze and explain variances, develop and implement remediation plans.
  • Develop dashboards and performance metrics for executive review.
  • Perform complex analyses of product/provider profit share / bonus to track and monitor. progress and offer suggestions to enhance performance and maximize opportunity/profitability.
  • Control expenses and adhere to the established budget.
  • Understand and support all partnership agreement terms, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  • Provide insights and recommend enhancements to provider contracts. This includes identification of new product opportunities, compensation enhancements, and acquisition or mergers changes that may require new contracts or amendments.
  • Lead planning and execution of partner business review meetings.
  • Execute provider performance management efforts including marketing and reporting initiatives, to maximize margin and revenue opportunities.

Business Strategy Development

  • Independently establish and work alongside key stakeholders to understand client and market needs to develop and lead execution of strategic product education and marketing plans to support product growth.
  • Create, update, and distribute product information and marketing material to support marketing plans and drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with internal department stakeholders to ensure effective execution of strategy plans.
  • Support and influence enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Identify relevance, trends, and competitive differentiators to effectively communicate information to drive product education and marketing strategies.
  • Identify key target markets and ideal account profiles to lead or support the development of targeted prospect lists, scorecards, and related tools to enhance opportunity visibility and accelerate sales efforts.
  • Oversee, develop, maintain, and monitor lead registration and pipeline tracking and reporting.
  • Analyze, review, and recommend structure of new case design or changes to existing cases to retain and maximize long term profitability.
  • Provide multi-product offering consultation to sales reps and prospects.
  • Assist with creation of industry thought leadership content, and if necessary, represent the organization as a thought leader.
  • Hosts discovery calls and presentations with prospects and partner to support sales, if needed.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA)

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Public Relations, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of work-related experience.
  • Experience in the financial services industry.
