POSITION SUMMARY:
Realberry is expanding its successful 34-year focus raising capital primarily from Family Offices and Ultra-High-Net-
Worth Investors to present equity offerings to ALL investors, beginning first with all accredited investors, and then,
when scalability is achieved, to anyone seeking to enrich their portfolio via direct commercial real estate investment.
In time, this expansion will result in a Capital Markets team that will manage client relations and source capital across four channels: Retail, Family Office/ Ultra-High-Net-Worth Investors, Wholesale (RIAs and selling Broker-Dealers), and Institutions. This will require the development of a team of seasoned Investor Relations leaders who work in close partnership with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Vice President of Investor Relations (VPIR) to support investors spanning these channels via a digital-first methodology. Areas of focus will include assisting with the digital offering launch process, managing a book-of-business as an Account Manager, identifying and nurturing investment leads, communicating investment opportunities, aligning prospects with suitable investments, overseeing the investment transaction process, reporting portfolio performance, facilitating capital calls, and managing the comprehensive lifetime experience of investors through repeat investment cycles. This transformative position will collaborate cross-departmentally with most teams, including the Marketing Team to optimize lead-generation alignment and investor content guidance, the Investments Team to convey investor demand and sales win-loss insights, the Deal Team to gain mastery of each offering, the Finance Team to optimize ongoing investor reporting processes that underpin investor satisfaction, and the Legal Team to assist with the creation of investment documents, and our Broker-Dealer to communicate offerings in a regulatory compliant manner.
The Investor Relations Director (IRD) position will report to the VPIR to deliver on the overall IR strategy to build lasting relationships with new and existing investors that convert to new capital and organic investor growth. This role wil[SD1] l be responsible for meeting capital raising targets and growing an engaged investor base that both invests repeatedly and recommends Realberry to friends, family and colleagues. This senior-level position requires at least 7 years of experience in real estate, investor relations, and retail fundraising.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and foster a trusted and respected relationship with assigned investor contacts based on expert commercial real estate industry experience and Realberry investment knowledge;
- Nurture and grow new relationships with prospects generated and introduced by the Founders, or sourced from lead generation campaigns;
- Educate and inform investors about our investment offerings and help prospects invest in suitable offerings;
- Identify and pursue prospects aligned with investment offerings and achieve a quarterly sales target;
- Assist with the development of reporting processes that provide investor updates, quarterly reports, and tax statements at scale to exceed investor expectations;
- Manage a book-of-business through planned check-ins that include annual portfolio reviews, semi-annual investment interest check-ins, and ad hoc new offering communications;
- Direct and oversee the capital call process, tracking, investor engagement and transaction management;
- Report investor insights, prospect and market insights that provide critical data to evolve deal pipeline parameters to meet investor demand, optimize lead generation initiatives, and contribute to the creation and optimization of marketing materials and campaigns that enhance sales effectiveness;
- Support the offering launch process by using an Asana template to track and complete all cross-functional deliverables represented in the launch playbook;
- Lead and manage end-to-end capital raising and work real-time (during an active raise) and cross-functionally with Marketing and Deal Teams to ensure raise success via raise updates and identify areas and tactics to increase website traffic and increase lead conversion;
- Scale the retail sales methodology by effectively using technology, automation and AI to enable investor self-sufficiency when desired, supported seamlessly by human-to-human engagement when needed and requested;
- Engage and build relationships with new accredited investors by understanding their real estate investment goals, risk tolerances, and offering preferences;
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers, key strategic partners, and clients;
- Establish and nurture a professional investor network by tracking all activities and engagements in HubSpot;
- Develop a strong understanding of Realberry’s brand, track record and pipeline, and demonstrate the ability to speak to current and potential investors about the company and its projects;
- Represent the company at conferences, conventions, industry tradeshows, seminars and private investor events;
- Work with the internal Legal Team and a third-party Broker Dealer to ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place for compliant retail capital fundraising, communications and disclosures; and
- Work cross-functionally and build partnerships with key leaders, including:

Meeting the capital raising target needs to be communicated as a primary responsibility.* Series 63 and 7 Licenses;
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate or related degree;
- Seven (7+) years of capital raising experience primarily targeting accredited investors;
- Demonstrated experience in private equity, commercial real estate and alternative assets;
- Demonstrated expertise in selling various types of capitalization structures;
- Experience using a CRM, preferably HubSpot, to manage customer engagements, track sales opportunities, and
oversee pipeline management for a team of Sales Representatives;
- Experience managing customer escalations and support tickets to meet an established SLA and achieve high
customer satisfaction;
- Long-term investment mindset geared towards always meeting investor expectations;
- Client/customer service-oriented approach;
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to think creatively, strategically, and analytically;
- Highly organized, and process driven individual with attention to detail;
- Track record of working well both as part of a team and as a team manager;
- Experience following compliance protocols in a FINRA and SEC regulated financial industry; and
- Travel required (not to exceed 25%)
