Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Director to lead the marketing function for a growing restaurant group with 7 locations. This role is responsible for setting the overall marketing strategy, building brand consistency across all stores, overseeing promotional planning, managing external partners, and ensuring marketing investments drive measurable business results.

The ideal candidate has strong restaurant or hospitality marketing experience, preferably in a multi-unit environment, and can operate at both a strategic and practical level. This person will work closely with ownership and cross-functional leaders to develop marketing plans that increase brand awareness, guest traffic, online reputation, and sales.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and lead the overall marketing strategy for the restaurant group
  • Build annual and quarterly marketing plans aligned with business goals
  • Establish clear priorities across brand, digital, local store marketing, promotions, and new store openings
  • Serve as the senior marketing partner to ownership and leadership

Brand Management

  • Define and maintain brand positioning, voice, and messaging
  • Ensure consistency of brand presentation across all locations and guest touchpoints
  • Oversee brand standards for menus, in-store materials, digital content, campaigns, and promotional assets
  • Conduct regular brand audits and identify opportunities to strengthen market presence

Multi-Unit Marketing

  • Create scalable marketing programs that support all restaurant locations
  • Develop localized marketing strategies tailored to each market
  • Partner with operations to drive store-level traffic and improve local awareness
  • Balance company-wide brand strategy with individual store needs

Digital Marketing and Customer Acquisition

  • Oversee digital strategy across social media, email marketing, paid media, SEO/SEM, and review platforms
  • Guide customer acquisition and retention initiatives
  • Ensure strong performance and presence on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Yelp, and Google Business Profile
  • Evaluate channel performance and optimize spend based on results

Promotions and Menu Marketing

  • Lead development of seasonal campaigns, limited-time offers, and promotional calendars
  • Partner with operations and culinary teams on menu launches and promotional strategy
  • Develop marketing initiatives that drive frequency, traffic, and guest engagement

New Store Openings

  • Lead marketing strategy for new restaurant openings
  • Develop pre-opening, grand opening, and post-opening campaign plans
  • Coordinate agencies, PR, influencer partnerships, and local outreach efforts tied to launches

PR, Influencer, and Partnership Management

  • Oversee public relations efforts and media opportunities
  • Develop influencer collaboration strategy and community partnerships
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen brand awareness through events, partnerships, and local engagement

Budget and Performance Management

  • Own the marketing budget and allocate resources across channels and campaigns
  • Track KPIs and evaluate return on marketing investment
  • Develop reporting dashboards and communicate results to leadership
  • Use data and insights to adjust strategy and improve performance

Team and Agency Leadership

  • Manage external marketing agencies, freelancers, photographers, designers, and other vendors
  • Build structure, processes, and accountability within the marketing function
  • Potentially hire and lead internal marketing team members as the company grows

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred
  • 5–8+ years of progressive marketing experience
  • Strong restaurant or hospitality marketing experience required
  • Experience in a multi-unit restaurant group or similar consumer-facing business preferred
  • Demonstrated success in brand strategy, campaign planning, and marketing leadership
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, and agency relationships
  • Experience with local store marketing and new store opening campaigns
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with ownership, finance, and operations teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Asian dining, upscale casual, or hospitality brands
  • Experience building or formalizing a marketing function in a growing company
  • Familiarity with POS-informed promotions, review management, and guest traffic analysis
  • Experience leading both brand strategy and execution across multiple markets
