POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a strategic and visionary Director of Social Media to lead the resort’s social presence and drive brand awareness. This role is responsible for setting the social strategy, guiding best‑in‑class content creation, and overseeing channel performance to strengthen awareness, engagement, and guest loyalty. The ideal candidate brings deep platform expertise, strong creative judgment, and a proven ability to lead high‑performing social programs within hospitality or lifestyle brands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
Social Media Strategy and Planning:
- Develop, revise and execute the social media strategy for Fontainebleau Las Vegas, aligned with overall marketing objectives, to enhance brand visibility, engage with customers, and drive business results
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and audience segmentation to identify target audiences and create content that resonates with them
- Define social media KPIs and performance metrics, monitor analytics, and provide regular reports on campaign performance and audience engagement
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, internal teams, external partners, and agencies to ensure seamless coordination and execution of co-branded social activations — including content development, scheduling, and performance reporting
- Lead the creation and presentation of social media recap decks, effectively communicating campaign performance, key insights, and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders, third-party partners, and ownership group
- Stay up to date with social media trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and stay ahead of the competition
Content Creation and Management:
- Collaborate with internal Multi-Media Team, Creative Directors and external agencies to ideate, develop, and execute compelling social media content concepts across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, and more, ensuring each piece aligns with brand guidelines and engages the target audience
- Strategically plan, coordinate, and execute content collaborations in alignment with key campaigns, initiatives, and calendar moments, ensuring consistent brand storytelling and timely publishing across all channels
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as Brand Marketing, Public Relations, Food and Beverage, Retail, Nightlife, Hotel and Entertainment, to gather content, stories, and visuals that showcase the hotel's unique offerings and experiences
- Plan and execute content calendars, ensuring a consistent and engaging presence on social media channels
- Develop and execute user-generated content (UGC) strategy and engage with customers through comments, messages, and reviews to foster positive relationships and brand advocacy
Influencer and Partnership Management:
- Oversee and support the Influencer Marketing Manager in identifying and cultivating relationships with relevant influencers, content creators, bloggers, and industry partners to amplify the hotel's social media reach and brand presence
- Collaborate with influencers and partners on content creation, collaborations, and promotions that align with the hotel's brand and target audience
- Lead collaboration and execution of all social partnerships across Fontainebleau Las Vegas social media channels, including partnerships with outside brands, entertainment talent, corporate sponsors, and resort parent brands
- Serve as the primary liaison for external brand partners and content creators, aligning on creative strategy, production timelines, deliverables, and go-live plans
- Track and measure the impact of influencer and partnership initiatives, and provide insights and recommendations for future collaborations
Team Leadership and Management:
- Partner closely with the VP of Brand Marketing to shape social strategy and ensure seamless, high‑quality execution across all platforms
- Lead and manage the Social Media team, providing clear direction, coaching, and professional development opportunities
- Set clear goals and expectations, and ensure Members have the resources and tools needed to succeed
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging creativity, idea-sharing, and continuous learning
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Hospitality, or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in social media, digital marketing, or brand strategy, preferably in the hospitality, lifestyle, or entertainment industries
- Proven ability to build, execute, and optimize scalable and results-driven social media strategies, with a strong understanding of content development, engagement tactics, and community growth
- Demonstrated experience managing or collaborating on large-scale paid social campaigns, including audience targeting, creative testing, and performance optimization
- Excellent written and verbal skills. A portfolio of written and creative examples will be requested upon interview.
- Experience in influencer relations, partnership execution, and cross-functional content planning with internal and external stakeholders
- Basic photography skills a plus
- Proven ability to lead social media crisis response efforts, including SOP development, real-time escalation, and cross-functional coordination with Legal, PR, and Executive stakeholders during brand-sensitive scenarios
- Quick learner with the ability to adopt and navigate digital tools, including social media dashboards, data visualization software, and reporting platforms
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and inspire team members while driving strategic priorities and creative innovation
- Dedicated to performing research and staying current with current trends
- Excellent leadership, prioritization, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments, aligning social initiatives with broader marketing, PR, and brand goals to drive business success
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will define, build, and lead a world-class social media team and be responsible for recruitment and daily team management.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
