  • Experience in consumer technology or creative agencies with a focus on social, influencer, or branded content.
  • Understanding of how social performance connects to brand marketing objectives and business KPIs.
  • Ability to approach complex problems with a structured, data-informed methodology, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal assistance.
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and creative judgement and experience communicating cross-functionally.
  • Passion for culture, design, and emerging technology trends.

Social Marketers establish the foundation for integrating social into all Google user touch points - from advertising campaigns to event marketing to customer service - in a clear and consistent way. We collaborate cross-functionally with product marketing leads to help align earned awareness marketing with the product and business roadmap. You will use data-driven analysis and insights to improve campaign effectiveness and value to the business, as well as exemplary online advertising solutions across Google’s key marketing initiatives.

As part of the Platforms and Devices marketing team (7+ brands including Android, Chrome, Google Play, Pixel and Home and Health), we are motivated to find the best ways for our brands to resonate in culture and engage with our audiences beyond traditional media. Our goal is to create unbreakable consumer relationships while empowering our audiences to speak about us in ways that are authentic, resonant, and ultimately, impactful to our business.

As a Social Media Manager on the Android ecosystem, you will partner with Activation and Engagement, Brand Management, PMM teams, and other cross-functional partners to execute on brand social programs. You will deliver full funnel paid/owned/earned programs, focusing on flawless execution and tracking performance against core business and brand objectives.

You will support cross-functional leads by developing innovative insights and thorough analysis to ensure that programs and investments are effective. You will help oversee our agency partners to deliver brand work. You will research and monitor local and global cultural trends to identify relevant opportunities and harness those trends to our advantage to drive brand relevance and engagement for Platforms and Devices brands.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Execute culturally relevant Go-To-Market strategies for social workstreams within the Android ecosystem. Be responsible for briefing agency partners.
  • Manage the entire approval process for social assets and toolkits, collaborating with internal creative teams, PMMs, Legal, partners, and marketing leads to gather feedback and approvals.
  • Oversee and manage all outgoing social posts, partnering with our social agencies to maintain an organized content calendar and report on the overall performance of evergreen social activity.
  • Contribute to the strategic goal for brand sponsorships and content partnerships by meticulously gathering audience data and conducting comprehensive participant analysis. Ensure all programs are compliant and accurately tracked.
  • Support annual Android planning and budget management by diligently tracking current spending, preparing precise performance reports, handling contracting, and delivering data-driven recommendations to Brand and PMM Leads.
