Serving as a one-stop shop for incoming college freshmen, we specialize in everything you need to turn a basic dorm room into a functional, comfortable, and personalized space all without breaking the bank. From Twin XL bedding and storage to décor and essentials, DormCo has been making a positive impact on the lives of high school graduates going off to live in a college dorm since launching in 2010.

We’re a Nashville-based, fast growing e-commerce company with multiple online brands, including DormCo.com, Byourbed.com, and ComaInducer.com. Our products are also featured across major online marketplaces like Amazon, Wayfair, and Bed Bath & Beyond. Now finally, in addition to our 15+ years of our Online Retail Business we have ventured into the world of RETAIL. Our first retail store for Coma Inducer, the oversized plush comforter brand, has launched in downtown Nashville, a stone's throw from Printer's Alley at 216 Third Ave. N (Nashville, TN 37201). With that growth, we’re looking for energized, enthusiastic, and creatively minded individuals who are ready to jump in and help take DormCo to the next level. What's the position? Good question! In the world of e-commerce (retail) there are a host of positions and needs. College trains you to have a major (a focused direction), however in the world of entrepreneurial business you have to be willing and interested to take on anything. Having an aspect in business that you prefer or enjoy most is great, but being able to pivot and try out various roles and responsibilities within a growing company is what's truly needed.

Our entry level position starts with working within the business from the ground up. This means regardless of your speciality (graduating major) this position starts with either customer service or warehouse work or a combination of both. All team members get involved with serving our customers (picking and shipping orders or taking calls and emails). It's our team + customer mentality that is the foundation of our company's growth, success and enjoyable work environment. Beyond the initial serving customers or assisting in the warehouse, our aim is to discover what you love, what you are good at and have you working within your business sweet spot on a daily basis. At DormCo the expectation is that you'll learn all aspects of online retail and play a role in working within each department. Business is complex and forever evolving. We need talented individuals that are willing and interested to roll up their sleeves, take on the work needed to get done and have an open mind to all things e-commerce.

Beyond the core responsibilities, we’re looking for individuals who are genuinely curious and passionate about all aspects of business, including: Social Media Content Creation, Marketing Strategy, Paid and Organic Advertising, PR and Influencer Marketing, Photo and Video Editing, Product Content Writing, Customer Service, AI (Artificial Intelligence), Retail, Finance, Entrepreneurial, Merchandising, Product Development, Management, Human Resources, Administration, Photography. Now if you can’t check the boxes of all these aspects, don’t worry, that’s not expected. What is expected is a positive attitude to try or work within aspects we feel are needed or suit your skill set.

This opportunity allows you to start immediately (or post graduation) in our Nashville location, gaining hands-on experience creating social media content and developing brand-focused skills. Note: There is the potential to start prior to college graduation in order to gain real college and dorm related content that can be utilized upon starting the position full time. 

Our Career Opportunity includes:

• Base Pay with Annual Increases (Starting Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year)
• Peak Season Bonuses, including our Trip Bonus ($2,000 annually for travel to a destination of your choice or other bonus options available if travel isn't your thing!)

Full time - Career Standard 40 Hours Weekly: 8am - 4:30pm M-F + Overtime required only in the months of July/August/December (Typically 100+ OT hours annually, which could include longer days and your choice of Saturday or Sunday).
