The Job

We are seeking a kick-ass Content and Community Coordinator to join our Tribe! The Content and Community Coordinator, reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, will work closely with other members of the Restaurant Support Office and Field Operations. Primary responsibilities include social media strategy, brand content creation, community management, Influencer strategy, local restaurant marketing support, and brand initiative implementation at the restaurant level. The Content and Community Coordinator is responsible for acting as a brand guardian to ensure brand consistency across all spokes of the marketing wheel andstrong communication within brand communities, including restaurant teams.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Social Media Content: Leads Velvet Taco’s social media content strategy across all platforms by capturing, editing, and planning static and video content that effectively communicates the Velvet Taco brand story while tying the brand to relevant online and cultural trends. Platforms include (but are not limited to): Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn**.**

  • Social Media Community Management: Develops and leads both proactive and reactive community management to maximize brand engagement within online communities across all social media platforms.

  • Restaurant Support: Collaborates with operations, including General Managers and Managers, on marketing initiatives and projects. Provides marketing support and solutions for local operations teams as needed.

  • Local Marketing Support: Assists operators with community giveback and engagement opportunities.

  • Influencer Strategy: Establishes and maintains programs and relationships with key influencers, coordinates influencer visits with restaurants, and manages influencer deliverables.

  • Brand Reputation & Guest Relations: Supports guest relations, including the website’s “Contact Us” form, online reputation, and social media sentiment.

  • New Restaurant Openings: Collaborates in the development and implementation of New Restaurant Opening marketing plans, including social media, PR, influencer outreach, events, signage, and design.

  • Menu: Supports menu launches, catering, and Weekly Taco Feature (WTF) program as needed.

  • Additional Duties as Needed: Assists with overall marketing department planning, strategy, and execution.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 1-3 years of social media experience required.

  • Knowledge of general marketing concepts required.

  • Social media experience is required, including the ability to create engaging static and video content.

  • PR, media relations, and influencer marketing experience preferred.

  • Out-of-the-box thinking.

  • Ability to think analytically.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Establish and maintain relationships both internally and externally.

  • Recognize and solve problems.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Set goals and convert plans into action.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
