Position Summary: Primary responsibility of Luum Textile Market Manager is to serve as a partner in our customer’s success. Responsible for the strategic growth of Luum Textile products by marketing and selling to the architectural and design (A&D) community, end users, and both Teknion and non-Teknion dealers. Primary focus will be capturing market share within the Workplace, Lifestyle/Hospitality, Wellness/Healthcare, and Higher Education sectors.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prioritize, and build relationships with design firms, dealers, and end users, within local markets, including engaging in networking opportunities to build interest in Luum Textile products.
  • Deliver impactful product presentations individually or in collaboration with complementary non-competing lines.
    • Provide high-level follow-through to, ensure clients’ needs are met and opportunities for improved relationships and new project opportunities are maximized.
  • Keep libraries current and up to date with all textiles. Provide immediate attention to memo requests and stock checks.
  • Achieve a consistent cadence of 15–20 sales calls or relationship-building opportunities per week.
  • Present all new collections to your specifying network within 4 to 12 weeks of launch.
  • Establish yourself as an expert in textile construction, dyeing, fibers, and finishes to provide high-level specification recommendations.
  • Maintain a complete and thorough knowledge of all Luum Textile products as well as competitors’ offering.
  • Execute end-to-end project management from initial specification through final order fulfillment.
    • Coordinate critical timelines, including installation dates and procurement schedules, to ensure on-time delivery.
    • Collaborate with Customer Service to proactively manage lead times and expedite orders when necessary to meet client deadlines.
  • Promote COM approvals for Luum Textiles on other manufacturer’s products.
    • Manage COM approval requests.
  • Work in a manner that is consistent with the overall goals and direction of the corporation.
  • Work with President to develop and execute on an overall territory plan which includes annual goals and objectives.
    • Exceed sales goals.
  • Comply with all training requirements (i.e.: applicable e-learnings)
  • Maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external partners.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
  • Prompt, reliable and regular attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements:

10% including overnight. This will vary depending on size of territory.

Professional Engagement:

  • Active participation in industry organizations such as IIDA, ASID, and NEWH.
  • Appropriate alliances with complimentary manufacturers of non-competing products to bolster broader sales reach.

Experience, Skill and Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of related industry experience required.
  • Proven sales experience is preferred, with a strong ability to qualify prospects, generate leads, and close deals.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve results.
  • Ability to create, build and maintain relationships with customers, influencers, dealers and sales team.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and highly motivated.
  • Advanced selling skills, e.g. qualify prospects, lead generation, new business development, account penetration, strategic selling knowledge, ability to 'close'.

Strong problem solver.

  • Demonstrated effective negotiation and closing techniques.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with strong emphasis on listening.
  • Strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
