Candidate and Role Description:
MyLand is looking for our next ROCKSTAR! We are hiring a Regional Sales Manager who is passionate about helping growers adopt leading-edge sustainable and profitable technologies and practices. This individual is a motivated business-getter and customer relationship leader. The Regional Sales Manager must focus on building MyLand’s sales and service footprint in our target regions and be active in the creation of an effective selling strategy that further accelerates MyLand’s growth. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated abilities to create and close on new business opportunities, an existing network of high-valued crop producers; and promote follow-on customer expansion. Hiring in Arizona, Texas, Washington, and California.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for, and active in, the entire selling process from the development of new leads, to closing the sale and beginning new service delivery. This manager will be increasingly responsible for developing and managing an important and expanding market for MyLand.
This Regional Sales Manager will report to the Sr Vice President of Sales.
Regional Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Build an economically productive portfolio of enthusiastic and supportive customers and partners
- Constantly maintain and actively manage a high-yielding customer acquisition pipeline by researching and targeting the most influential and prolific growers in their region
- Develop referral yielding relationships with industry participants and grower influencers
- Ensure essential information is communicated from the customer to relevant groups within MyLand; and from MyLand to customers.
- Maintain accurate customer data, documenting all interactions, tracking progress through sales stages, and utilizing CRM tools for lead management and forecasting.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Document and share best practices and lessons learned with the broader sales team.
- Promote a positive image of MyLand and its services in every community and with every farm and individual with whom we associate, or contact.
- Participate in local MyLand marketing activities such as grower meetings, regional tradeshows, expos, and community events; in order to position MyLand as the pre-eminent soil health company that it is.
- Coordinate with other MyLand functional teams to ensure timely deployment of our Systems and services to new customers and partners
- Act as the liaison between MyLand and customers and partners to ensure that soil health and crop performance data is gathered, analyzed and discussed as agreed and, where possible, leveraged to capture expansion opportunities with the customers.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A desire to see positive improvement in the regenerative agriculture industry
- Strong business acumen and strategic selling skills
- An ability to dive in and learn the industry and target personas quickly
- An ability to be relatable to decision makers at both family owned and corporate owned levels
- Strong business development skills and an ability to win and maintain the trust of prospects and customers
- An entrepreneurial and tactical mindset that discovers the routes to achieve results
- An internal drive to meet and exceed agreed sales and revenue targets
- An education and experience history that demonstrates intelligence, creativity, consultative persuasiveness
- Experience using HubSpot or other CRM platforms
- Flexibility to travel within the territory
- Cross functional teamwork experience
- The self-discipline and motivation of successful professionals
Examples of Helpful Previous Experience:
- Consulting on value-added practices
- Regenerative agriculture or sustainability consulting
- Agriculture performance monitoring and advisory services
- PCA, CCA, & other agronomic certifications strongly considered, but not an imperative
