Chubb is seeking a VP, Marketing & Communications, Chubb North America Product Towers. This person will oversee marketing and communications initiatives across Chubb’s North America Product Towers (Financial Lines, Surety, A&H), and will be responsible for developing and executing a marketing and communications strategy for Chubb’s North America Cyber and Property commercial insurance business units.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing the development, implementation, optimization and measurement of multi-channel integrated marketing and communication plans. They will be comfortable working with a large stable of stakeholders across different business units, as collaboration with stakeholders across marketing and business functions at all levels of the Chubb organization is an essential part of this role.
The VP, Marketing & Communications, Chubb North America Product Towers will have exceptional project management skills and superior communication capabilities, able to relay complicated digital concepts in plain language. They will need to build context across multiple teams to optimize partner workflows and make the most of emerging opportunities. They are equally adept at establishing a campaign and adjusting it as new information becomes available to produce optimal results.
The VP Marketing & Communications, Chubb North America Product Towers reports to the SVP, Head of North America Commercial Communications with matrix reporting to Chubb’s Divisional Presidents for North America Property and Cyber business units. They will oversee the Marketing Officer for Financial Lines and will have a dotted line overseeing the Marketing Officers for Surety and A&H. This position can be based in our Whitehouse Station, NJ or Philadelphia, PA office.
Key Responsibilities
Represent the interests of Chubb’s Product Towers in formulating and executing strategic marketing/communications plan that includes campaigns with a mix of direct and centralized resources, such as media/public relations, advertising, internal communications, events, digital marketing, and executive communications.
- Hands on oversight of the marketing/communication plans and campaigns related to Chubb’s Cyber and Property products and services, including differentiators, competitive positioning, value propositions, etc.
- Directly oversee the Marketing Officer for Financial Lines
- Dotted line oversight of the Marketing Officers for Surety and A&H
Analyze and gain insight into the relevant audiences (buyers, influencers, and intermediaries) along with their actionable sub-segments, motivating factors, conversion triggers, etc.
Determine the optimal mix of channels and tactics according to audience segments and ongoing insights
Develop marketing strategies for new products and services that comply with current company and brand standards
Review and evaluate existing marketing campaigns to assess performance, identify gaps and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Regularly report on business outcomes and KPIs (leads, submission activity, agent referrals, appointments, employee engagement, etc.), identifying opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with other North American businesses including Chubb’s large account, middle-market, small commercial, wholesale, and personal insurance segments where products or audiences overlap to create seamless experiences for customers and facilitate cross-sell opportunities
Integrate the business-specific and local events strategy
Monitor and maintain the departments’ budgeting practices
Effectively manage outside agencies and vendors, as required, ensuring strict alignment with contractual budget and work product commitments
15+ years in a senior corporate marketing, distribution marketing, and/or communications role
Insurance or Financial Services Industry experience preferred
Proven experience in leveraging marketing tactics to drive business results
Experience managing complex, multifaceted, and multilayered projects
Proven ability to build collaborative relationships in a complex, multi-divisional, geographically dispersed business organization
Ability to effectively manage professional and support staff members and outside agency resources
Proven ability to advise senior-level corporate executives
Superb communications skills, both verbal and written

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field required

The pay range for the role is $180,000-$270,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website . The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
