Job Overview:
THE·TEAM seeks a Director of Paid Media to lead full-funnel paid media efforts across social, programmatic, CTV, OLV and more. If you’re a client-facing data wonk who has a solid background in media strategy plus strong leadership abilities, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee the planning, execution and reporting of paid campaigns with objectives ranging from direct response to branding and awareness
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients as it pertains to media plans, measurement solutions and creative best practices
- Collaborate with the Group Director of Media to develop and implement processes to make the department more efficient
- Partner with Group Directors on Creative Strategy & Planning teams to ensure media plans are aligned with the larger campaign strategy and content requirements of our clients
- Manage a team of media strategists and media associates, keeping track of day-to-day tasks and working on their individual career growth with accounts across the agency
- Occasionally assist in new business pitches and own internal workstreams focused on implementing paid media best practices
What We're Looking For:
- 7+ years’ experience of media planning, buying and measurement experience across self-serve ad platforms such as Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads and more. Programmatic and/or other media buying experience a plus (e.g. OOH, Audio, etc.)
- Experience using budget planning and estimation tools for budget allocations and leveraging research/platform insights tools to build audience segments
- Strong deck building skills, including formatting presentation decks, inserting charts/graphs and translating data insights into a story
- Expert-level ability to analyze large datasets and formulate into actionable insights. Regular use of functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data organization.
- Direct response/Performance marketing experience for driving e-comm, app install, or other lower-funnel KPIs is a plus
- A deep understanding of media measurement, including brand lift studies, Google analytics tracking and attribution
- 3+ years of experience managing a team of direct reports
- Ability to work autonomously, identifying and solving problems that arise on accounts and within the agency as it relates to media strategy
- The ability to translate metrics into insights into action and ensure all reporting are meeting business needs
- Experience collaborating with creative and influencer teams to traffic creatives and recommend paid creative best practices
- Previous agency experience is a plus
- Experience using media to solve brand/business challenges
- Experience investigating consumer behavior/attitudes on social/digital channels
- A demonstrated passion for and understanding of paid media
- Commitment to excellence — working non-standard hours when necessary, anticipating issues and communicating with diplomacy, identifying emerging platforms and trends to drive innovation
- Innate curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit
Base salary range: $155k - 165k/year, plus bonus potential if applicable for role. Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
