POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of PR will develop and deliver an effective communication strategy around initiatives that increase brand awareness, partner with VIP/Celebrity initiavtive, and internationally reinforce the brand ethos and drive the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize and maintain VIP talent relations and partnerships chart including the strategy for VIP/Celebrity that includes a strategy for seeding, gifting, dressing, and loans.
- Set goals/KPI’s around VIP/Celebrity strategy constantly innovating strategy and talent based off what has worked and what hasn’t.
- Coordinate with social team to present VIP talent for content creation.
- Continuously research and update 360 Marketing Calendar with important dates including: current and upcoming cultural events, brand initiatives, etc.
- Concept and execute celebrity, influencer and media events.
- Work with all internatinol agencies and partners to keep brand story telling and initiviates consistant on a global scale.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across design, merchandising and marketing to create compelling moments for the launch of product and services.
- Build relationships with innovative leaders and influencers to grow brand, product and industry awareness.
- Proactively present PR ideas to benefit the brand by working with agency partners to execute a PR strategy that includes traditional and non-traditional PR tactics, influencer marketing and meaningful experiences for media and customers.
- Ensure a consistent brand message across all brand communications including all press releases for omnichannel initiatives.
- Pitch media and secure top-tier press placements.
- Create and package communication tools to educate agency partners, associates and customers about core brand messages and key brand initiatives.
- Oversee tracking and communication of press coverage to internal team.
- Maintain an organized system for sample maintenance and transportation
- Oversee internal communications of key initiatives.
- Oversee PR budget and expenses.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-7 years of work experience
- High-energy, positive self-starter who is willing to go above and beyond to make a difference in a growing organization
- Have a vast network of VIP talent, stylists, and top editors
- Creative problem solver and decision maker with a proven track record of delivering results
- Proven ability to handle time-sensitive projects and prioritize multiple objectives simultaneously, to work independently, and to drive projects to completion with minimum guidance and acute attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Exceptional organizational
- Ability to think strategically but act tactically
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office & Adobe Suite
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) required.
- Budget/revenue management experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, creative and out of the box thinker
$130,000 - 150,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NY - based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other A+O employees.)
