The Account Coordinator (PR / Social / Events) will work as part of the FMPR Client Services Team to drive the development and implementation of communications strategies, digital marketing and relevant brand experience events for a roster of clients across the categories of design/performance, tech/innovation, food/beverage, sports and/or general lifestyle.

JOB OUTLINE

The Account Coordinator (PR / Social / Events) position is responsible for providing support for the Client Services Team.

MARKETING The position of Account Coordinator (AC) assists the Account Team in building, implementing, managing and reporting on effective communication programs for clients. The work includes providing support to the composition of client messaging and PR strategies, coverage reports, aiding in the development of target media lists, self-monitoring trends, self-reviewing publications, and lending general media relations support. Additionally, the marketing responsibilities include executing against the pre-approved social media strategy including creating / posting content and coverage to client and FM IG/Facebook channels, as well as, posting coverage to blog and relevant case studies to the agency website. Work will also entail executing influencer seeding – brainstorming ideas, sourcing assets, composing kit send-outs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contributes to building, implementing and reporting on effective PR & digital marketing programs for agency clients
  • Handles assigned media inquiries, researches media opportunities and works with outside media sources to earn favorable stories in the press
  • Research media trends and report on best practices
  • Writes press release drafts, and other comms related documents
  • Measures and analyzes the effectiveness of PR programs
  • Coordinates product review programs for select clients
  • Coordinates and manages sample inventory and tracking for select clients
  • Assists with logistics, coordination, scheduling, monitoring, and execution of planned PR events
  • Is eager to learn and understand social media best practices and drives pre-approved social media content strategies and tactical plans
  • Utilizes skills to develop and manage social/digital content creation and campaign implementation
  • Responsible for scheduling, posting and optimizing engagement resulting in client community growth
  • Prepares digital newsletter drafts and composes blog drafts to enhance client SEO
  • Handles charitable donations and sponsorship requests
  • Works with any pre-approved outside agency resources required to execute client marketing programs
  • Shows exemplary skills in time and project management
  • Responsibly tracks expenses and labor hours allocating to clients in an honest and definite manner

GENERAL AGENCY SUPPORT:

  • Assists multiple client teams in media relations and execution of marketing programs.
  • Supports agency content development and marketing efforts.
  • Volunteers to take the first step in new projects, e.g., summarizes meeting notes or conducts research for missing information.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Volunteers to help co-workers on projects before being asked.
  • Closes the loop on assignments and notifies team members when action items are complete.
  • Successfully multitasks within collaborative team structure and open work environment.
  • Displays excellent communication skills including writing, research and persuasion skills required in working with account executives, senior account executives, account supervisors and account directors.
  • Communicates regularly and promptly so everyone is up to date and in the loop.
  • Displays the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure
  • Respectfully takes direction from supervisors and managers.
  • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance (in person and/or virtual).
  • Manages all agency seeding shipments
  • Shares general office administrative responsibilities with account team

REQUIRED:

  • B.A. Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years general experience including internship, campus careers, news writing, trade shows, special event planning and project management or the equivalent in an agency environment.

PREFERRED:

  • Creative design skills
  • Development and production process of strategic marketing communications materials

Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
