We are looking for a Director of Sponsorship Consulting to support a global brand client with a strong focus on Formula 1 partnerships. This opportunity will be based in our Charlotte, NC or New York, NY office and report to the VP, Sponsorship Consulting. You will help drive client satisfaction, strategic growth, and industry‑leading work across a wide range of sponsorship initiatives. Working closely with clients, cross‑functional teammates, and global agency teams to develop and deliver thoughtful sponsorship strategies, activation programs, asset management approaches, and measurement plans.

Responsibilities:* Develop and guide partnership strategy by applying a strong understanding of Formula 1 and broader sports/entertainment landscape to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Collaborate with international agency partners to align regional programs with global sponsorship objectives.
- Lead the global execution of an international sponsorship portfolio, ensuring effective and efficient use of client partnership assets.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with senior clients through clear communication, proactive updates, and collaborative problem‑solving.
- Oversee productive relationships with sanctioning bodies and rightsholders to develop mutually beneficial marketing partnerships.
- Guide teams in creating client‑ready materials, including activation plans, strategic POVs, and program documentation.
- Apply knowledge across the full marketing mix—including social media, content development, influencer partnerships, and promotional planning—to strengthen sponsorship programs.
- Lead multi‑market activation campaigns and events from planning through execution, ensuring smooth cross‑team coordination.
- Manage annual and event‑level budgets in alignment with internal financial guidelines.
- Support negotiations with local, national, and global rightsholders, helping secure agreements that support client goals.
- Travel as needed, including occasional weekends or holidays based on client needs.
Qualifications (Required):* Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in sponsorship, brand partnerships, sports marketing, or related fields.
- 4+ years of direct experience in Formula 1 on the brand, agency, or property side, with strong understanding of the F1 ecosystem.
- Proven track record leading integrated teams and delivering high‑impact partnership or activation programs.
- Experience working with premium global brands or large‑scale properties.
- Ability to adjust communication style to a variety of audiences, including colleagues, senior executives, partners, talent, and clients.
- Comfortable presenting ideas in a team setting and open to giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated ability to stay ahead of industry trends and self‑educate on emerging opportunities.
- Commitment to contributing to team culture through collaboration, participation in internal initiatives, and support of a positive work environment.
The annual salary range for this position is $82,500-$110,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
