Position Summary:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of local marketing and brand promotion of City Winery. This role manages the development and execution of local marketing programs, supports business objectives and increases local business development, leads customer acquisition, and fosters customer retention. This role works closely with internal departments to increase City Winery’s appeal to potential customers, while managing brand messaging to customers and media relationships.  Serving as an ambassador of the City Winery brand, the Marketing Manager will work closely with outlets to secure branded opportunities across radio, television, and digital platforms to promote visibility.

Overview of Responsibilities Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Integrated Marketing Plans:
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns using a 360-degree approach.
  • Maintain a detailed calendar of events, activations, collaborations, and promotions.
  • Maximize attendance and engagement through coordinated promotions.
  • Develop strategies to enhance event experiences.
  • Content Creation:
  • Produce high-quality content for social media, promotional materials, and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create series featuring artists, behind-the-scenes content, menus, and events.
  • Design brochures and sales materials that highlight brand value propositions.
  • Programming & Event Promotion:
  • Manage a promotional calendar of events and activations.
  • Develop targeted marketing campaigns to promote shows, private events, restaurant activations and guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with programming and events teams to drive attendance and brand awareness.
  • Track and analyze ticket sales data to optimize promotional strategies.
  • Social Media Management:
  • Develop and implement social media strategies tailored to regional audiences.
  • Manage social media campaigns and create engaging content. (Ie. TikTok videos, Instagram, Facebook)
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to optimize engagement.
  • Influencer Marketing:
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage influencer partnerships.
  • Track and analyze the performance of influencer campaigns.
  • Database Management:
  • Maintain and grow the customer email database.
  • Develop strategies for data capture and audience retention.
  • Media Management:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date media databases.
  • Send weekly show listings to relevant media outlets and stakeholders.
  • Ensure website content is current and reflective of the brand.
  • Monitor and update external sites and partner platforms.
  • Philanthropy & Community Engagement:
  • Oversee donation requests and philanthropic initiatives.
  • Product & Venue Promotion:
  • Collaborate with the Private Events and F&B teams to promote wine sales, club memberships, and experiential events.
  • Manage menu updates and promotional materials.
  • Internal Collaboration & Communication:
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication across all departments.
  • Meet regularly with operational management, box office, programming, event directors, and GMs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience.
  • High integrity work ethic and a strong passion for music, hospitality, food and wine.
  • Ability to successfully multitask and manage several projects at once in a high-pressure, fast paced environment.
  • Professional and effective communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented with particular strength in time management and organization.
  • Must have proficient computer and technological skills: Email Marketing Automation, Google Suite, Asana, Adobe Suite, Sprout Social
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time; stand and walk regularly.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design or related field preferred.
