Job Overview
The Senior Product Manager, Cardiopulmonary (SPM-CP) plays a pivotal role in driving the financial success of the assigned segments and regions. This position is directly accountable for developing and executing marketing strategies and business plans that deliver on sales and profit objectives for the Cardiopulmonary portfolio. SPM-CP actively leads cross-functional initiatives to maximize cross-selling, generate new business opportunities, and ensure achievement of annual order intake, net sales, and gross profit targets. By collaborating closely with cross-functional business partners and executive leadership, this role ensures commercial strategies are developed and executed effectively and all sales and service functions are fully aligned to meet and exceed the company’s financial goals.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Develop and execute segment strategies, ensuring effective commercialization of both new and existing products, including relevant third-party offerings.
- Align local marketing initiatives with global commercial objectives, collaborating closely with commercialization teams to support sales growth.
- Continuously monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities, providing actionable insights and comprehensive market analyses.
- Adapt marketing strategies and plans to evolve market and competitive dynamics.
- Enable and support sales teams to expand market share, including identifying and targeting high potential customers and supporting Inside Sales.
- Represent the business in customer meetings, presentations, and industry events, deliver product demonstrations and business updates.
- Gather and communicate voice of customer (VOC) feedback, market requirements, and competitive intelligence to inform business decisions.
- Support sales and distribution partners at customer engagements, exhibitions, seminars, and conferences, providing product expertise and demonstrations.
- Analyze sales data by product and region to identify opportunities for increased sales effectiveness, including the development of sales tools, training, promotional campaigns, and incentive programs such as SPIFFS and GPO initiatives.
- Prepare sales and operational forecasts for assigned segments, product lines, and regions.
- Develop, manage, and update marketing plans for each assigned segment, product category, and region, including strategic partnerships.
- Lead or assist in the deployment of targeted marketing and training initiatives.
- Coordinate with after-sales teams to ensure seamless project handovers and ongoing support.
- Support Corporate Accounts and Sales in developing strategies for GPO/IDN and Strategic Accounts, including RFP responses and business reviews.
- Build industry networks and engage with experts, advisory boards, and key stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide less experienced Product Managers to foster professional growth and team capability.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- A minimum of 12 years’ experience in the medical device industry, which includes marketing management in the assigned product line.
- Solid background and experience in the relevant business in the US market.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated expertise in B2B sales and product presentations.
- Skilled in conveying complex technical and clinical information clearly to customers and sales teams, effectively articulating the value of comprehensive solutions.
- Experienced in Product Management and/or Sales for medical device disposables, capital equipment and related services.
- Strong business acumen with a track record of executing sales and marketing strategies across product categories and regions.
- Effective communicator and influencer at all organizational levels.
- Highly organized, results driven and self-motivated.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a solid understanding of IT concepts, integrated business systems, and the Windows operating system.
- Ability to develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Strategic thinking that anticipates market trends, regulatory changes, and evolving customer needs.
- Skilled at leading and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
- Conducting market research, competitive analysis, and voice-of-customer initiatives to inform product decisions.
- Strong project management skills: managing timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver high-quality products on schedule.
- Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and product performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Financial skills for budgeting, forecasting, and aligning product initiatives with business goals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.

Pay Rate: $175,000 - $195,000 + bonus targeted at 25% (depending on overall company performance)
