About the job
About Hera Every complex system in America has a profession whose job it is to be your trusted guide. You have a lawyer for legal. An accountant for taxes. A financial advisor for your money. Healthcare, a trillion-dollar industry that’s arguably the most complex and touches every single family, leaves us on our own.
Hera is creating a new profession in healthcare: the Hero, a dedicated senior care expert for your family. Our Heroes educate, coordinate, and advocate for the most vulnerable population in the healthcare system — covered by insurance, so every family in America that needs us can access us.
We are in the business of trust. Hera’s brand promise is simple: care that would only be great enough for our own parents . We deliver this at scale by pairing Heroes, trust-building humans, with Juno, their AI teammate. This promise is our moat. It’s what physicians refer to, families buy, what Heroes deliver, and what the product must unlock and enforce at every touchpoint.
How we meet our families
We meet our families through the most trusted referral, from their doctor. Geriatricians and social workers at NYU Langone, Weill Cornell, and Mount Sinai refer families to Hera and these partners introduce us to two or three more organically . Departments reach out unprompted. We show up in health system newsletters we didn't pitch.
Why? Because most care for an older adult happens after they leave the doctor's office. The physicians and social workers who know this don't have the bandwidth to bridge that gap themselves. Hera takes that work off their plate, does it better, and closes the loop back to them. That's why they refer.
Early wins
- Organic 3x quarter-over-quarter growth in new patient referrals
- Viral community moments: we organized an art show for an 88-year-old Hera family member that landed NY1, the Chelsea Reporter, and an inbound from NBC.
- Unprompted inbound from health systems: partners are finding us without a single cold outreach.
What this role is
You'll be Hera's first GTM hire, starting where we already have traction: health system partnerships. You’ll deeply understand how referrals actually happen so you can build the engine that makes them happen at scale.
Today our motion is entirely bottoms-up: a social worker or doctor starts referring, brings us to their supervisor, we do an in-service, and it spreads from there. You'll pour fuel on that motion while also building the top-down relationships — department heads, CMOs, population health leaders — that unlock institutional partnerships at a different scale.
- Build the health system referral engine. Turn organic partnerships into a repeatable, scalable motion: mapping stakeholders, systematizing outreach, deepening existing relationships, and dramatically increasing referral volume and retention. Map the buyer and influencer personas across acute, post-acute, and ambulatory settings: who refers, who champions, who blocks, and what each cares about so we can tailor our pitch, materials, and product to each. You'll identify the next frontier, new facilities and specialties to pursue, run pilots, and prove or kill each channel.
- Shape the product. Physicians lose visibility the moment a patient walks out the door. We're building a shared operating picture that meets them where they are in EPIC and bridges clinical data and data on the patient in the community — so Hera becomes infrastructure they can't live without.
- Hire and lead a field sales team. Healthcare is local. Every market is a separate launch. You'll hire people who own their territory end-to-end, define the playbook, and build the team to run it.
Join our founding team
We closed a sizable seed round led by Accel and have since gotten to seven-figure GMV on organic distribution alone. The customer feedback is the most positive our team has seen in our careers.
You’ll build Hera alongside co-founders Jenny, Myles & Connie as well as founding team members Isabella and Sasi. Jenny, Connie, & Isabella were in the trenches together building Headway ( now the largest mental health platform in America ) while Myles, Sasi & Connie all came from Palantir, resonating with a personal tie to this mission.
The playbook doesn’t exist yet. You’ll have high autonomy and a team that has your back when you run at hard problems that force you to find your edges.
