How you'll be impactful:
As the VP, Global Brand Marketing, you will report directly to the CMO and serve as a strategic peer to the VP of Performance Marketing. You will lead the effort to define and elevate Ingenio's portfolio of brands globally, translating high-level company strategy into a cohesive brand strategy and actionable go-to-market (GTM) planning. Your mission is to scale our brands from performance-driven channels into mass-market adoption, ensuring each brand in our portfolio serves a unique consumer need with clear strategic distinctions.
Please note: This role will require being in our SF office at least 3 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday).
What you'll be doing:
Strategic Brand Leadership & Portfolio Distinction
- Translate Company Strategy: Convert overall company strategy into a comprehensive brand strategy and a multi-year global GTM roadmap.
- Keeper of Distinctions: Act as the primary owner of brand distinctions across the multi-brand portfolio, ensuring each brand serves a unique consumer segment to minimize internal overlap and cannibalization.
- Organizational Design: Define and execute the organizational structure for a global brand center of excellence that maintains consistent global standards while allowing for localized execution.
- Accountability for Brand KPIs: Take full responsibility for global brand health metrics, including awareness, consideration, and overall brand equity targets.
- Agency Management: Partner with brand agency to lead rebranding and repositioning of our core brands.
Cross-Functional Brand Experience & Journey
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Performance Marketing to drive a seamless and consistent brand experience throughout the entire customer journey.
- Business Unit Alignment: Partner with BU Presidents to align brand identities with specific business priorities and unique consumer needs.
- Unified Data Ecosystem: Collaborate with the Analytics team to enhance brand health tracking and attribution modeling within a unified data environment.
Full-Funnel GTM & AI Integration
- Upper and Mid-Funnel Strategy: Lead GTM execution for mid- and upper-funnel strategies (including Meta, Influencer Marketing, Programmatic, and OTT/Linear TV) to drive mass awareness and consideration.
- Scale via AI: Identify and implement AI tools to scale marketing efforts, moving beyond basic prompt-and-response actions to drive creative efficiency and sophisticated personalization at scale.
- Test-and-Learn Framework: Institutionalize a rigorous "pilot-first" mindset with clear measurement criteria to validate brand ROI before broader rollout.
What you'll need to be successful:
Required
- Brand Builder: Proven track record of building brands from scratch and successfully scaling them from initial performance marketing foundations into mass-market adoption.
- Strategic Planning: Deep expertise in translating company strategy into integrated brand strategy and complex GTM plans.
- B2C Leadership: Significant brand leadership experience within digital B2C environments (e.g., digital products, subscription services, or e-commerce).
- Data Fluency: High proficiency in using data, attribution modeling, and brand lift studies to inform strategic outcomes.
Preferred
- AI-Forward Mindset: Familiarity with using advanced AI tools to scale creative production, market research, and overall brand operations.
- Management Experience: Experience building and leading high-performing in-house brand and creative capabilities from the ground up.
- Vertical Curiosity: Familiarity or genuine curiosity about the spiritual wellness and personal growth markets.
