Marketing Intern, Korean Market
Internship
Brea, CA, USA
About the job
Role Overview: We are looking for a data-driven, trend-savvy Influencer Marketing Intern to join the YAMI Korean Marketing team. You will play a pivotal role in scaling our creator ecosystem across TikTok (TT), Instagram (IG), and YouTube (YT). While working in the Korean Marketing Team at YAMI, you will be deeply involved in identifying emerging talent, managing campaign lifecycles, and optimizing budgets to drive high-conversion results.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Identification & Strategic Sourcing
- Creator Discovery: Research and identify emerging creators and high-potential influencers whose content style and audience align with YAMI’s target demographics.
- Database Management: Build and maintain detailed talent shortlists and "always-on" creator pools for upcoming brand campaigns and long-term partnership opportunities.
- Casting Strategy: Develop and refine influencer casting criteria based on specific campaign goals, ensuring every partner aligns with YAMI’s business objectives and brand voice.
2. Campaign Execution & Project Management
- End-to-End Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external creators to coordinate campaign timelines, deliverables, and approvals.
- Content Quality Control: Review all influencer-generated content (IG Reels, TT videos, etc.) and provide prompt, actionable feedback to ensure brand safety, high engagement, and alignment with upload schedules.
- Streamlining Processes: Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in the creative process to ensure enough traffic is secured consistently every month.
3. Performance Tracking & Data Optimization
- KPI Monitoring: Responsible for overall KPI tracking in real-time. Analyze performance data to suggest immediate optimizations for active influencer campaigns.
- Strategic Budget Allocation & Optimization: Effectively manage and deploy assigned monthly budgets to maximize campaign impact. Focus on driving higher conversion rates and consistently reducing Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
- Post-Campaign Reporting: Assist in compiling comprehensive monthly performance reviews. Distill complex data into clear presentations, highlighting best practices and key learnings for future optimization.
4. Market Intelligence & Platform Strategy
- Trend Spotting: Actively track social media trends, viral challenges, and platform algorithm shifts across TT, IG, YT, and emerging platforms to capture new user acquisition opportunities.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor influencer activations and provide strategic insights to support YAMI’s oncoming campaign directions.
- Strategic Upgrades: Proactively suggest enhancements to current influencer strategies based on performance reviews and market shifts.
- Organic Community Marketing & Outreach: Execute organic seeding and engagement strategies across targeted Korean community platforms to drive word-of-mouth (WOM) and manage community interactions through non-promotional posts.
5. Relationship Management & Training
- Influencer Communication: Handle day-to-day communication with influencers across social channels, maintaining professional and positive relationships.
- Creator Education: Proactively communicate with influencers to provide "training" on YAMI’s business goals using strategic documents, ensuring their content converts effectively.
- Asset Management: Download and organize all influencer content and campaign details into centralized Google Sheets/databases with minimal oversight and close attention to detail.
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently pursuing or completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
- Social Native: Deep understanding of the TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube ecosystems. You know what makes a video viral.
- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable working with numbers, Excel/Google Sheets, and tracking metrics like ROI, CTR, and CAC.
- Passionate about Korean products, K- culture
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (English/Korean fluency is often a plus for YAMI's demographic).
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple creator timelines simultaneously without missing a deadline.
- Can-do attitude
