About Us

Boneshock Studio is an independent game studio based in Norway, developing our debut title. We are a team of 25+ developers preparing for a major upcoming release across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, with a significant marketing budget and ambitious growth targets.

The Role

We’re hiring a Head of Marketing to take full ownership of marketing from trailer reveal → launch → post-launch.

You will be responsible for driving Steam wishlists, visibility, and launch success, while managing agencies and running campaigns directly.

You will work closely with leadership and own the strategy, organization, and execution of the full marketing campaign.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end marketing strategy and execution
• Steam wishlist growth (primary KPI)
• Influencer campaigns (paid + organic)
• PR and media strategy
• Trailer rollout (announcement, gameplay, launch)
• Social/content strategy (short-form + long-form)
• Agency management (PR, creators, production)
• Performance tracking and optimization

What We’re Looking For

• Senior video game marketer with at least 1 shipped game (indie or AAA)
• Strong understanding of Steam and wishlists funnels
• Experience running influencer campaigns and working with creators
• Ability to manage agencies and vendors effectively
• Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on
• Data-driven mindset with a focus on performance

Relocation

This role is in-person at our studio in Notodden, Norway.We are open to helping candidates relocate if they are a fit.
