We’re expanding our marketing team and looking for a creative, organized, social-savvy Content Specialist who wants their work to make a real impact.
About the Role
This role is perfect for someone who loves creating video-first content, stays plugged into social and digital trends, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple ongoing projects. You’ll create content across platforms and formats — including TikTok/Reels videos, social posts, emails, digital stories, and more — to support our programs and grow our national Know A Vet? Tell a Vet!® referral initiative.
What You’ll Do:
Content Creation
· Produce compelling content for social media, video, blogs, emails, digital storytelling, and monthly newsletters.
· Create short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
· Develop storytelling pieces that highlight veteran impact and community partnerships.
· Design graphics and visual content using Canva and Adobe Suite.
Social Media & Digital Engagement
· Manage daily content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn across multiple AWP brands.
· Lead video-first content strategy tailored to platform trends.
· Manage influencer relationships and partner collaboration opportunities.
· Conduct real-time social listening and trend monitoring.
· Evaluate new social tools, editing apps, and emerging AI tools.
Campaigns & Cross-Team Collaboration
· Create email content and campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
· Work collaboratively across departments to deliver clear, consistent messaging.
· Support Know A Vet? Tell a Vet!® growth by producing strategic, compelling content that drives national referrals.
Analytics & KPI Reporting
· Track and report social media KPIs using Hootsuite, TikTok analytics, and platform insights.
· Optimize content based on engagement, growth, and performance metrics.
· Present actionable insights to marketing leadership.
Operational Responsibilities
· Balance creative work with recurring monthly tasks essential to marketing operations and brand consistency.
What We’re Looking For:
Required
· 2+ years in content creation, social media, digital marketing, or multimedia roles (nonprofit/purpose-driven is a plus).
· Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
· Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
· Advanced social media fluency — especially TikTok, short-form video, trends, and creator culture.
· Experience with influencer outreach or creator partnerships.
· Skill in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
· Video production and editing experience (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, etc.).
· Ability to track, interpret, and report social media KPIs.
· Familiarity with AI tools for content creation and workflow efficiency.
· Passion for mission-driven work supporting veterans.
