"7 in the City" Influencer & Lead Storyteller
The Opportunity
Are you the person everyone follows to find the best-kept secrets in the city? Do you know how to stop a thumb-scroll in the first three seconds? We aren't looking for a traditional reporter; we are looking for a high-energy Brand Influencer and Multimedia Storyteller to become the face of “7 in the City.”
The "7 in the City" brand is the heartbeat of our community (Check it out! @kviaabc7news). This isn't a seat at a news desk—it's a creative mission. You will be the digital bridge between KVIA-TV's brand and the Borderland, acting as a passionate advocate for local culture and businesses. We need a self-starting visionary who can take a lifestyle concept and turn it into a viral, cross-platform movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Evolution: Conceptualize, shoot, and edit high-impact, aesthetic vertical video and digital stories that highlight the pulse of businesses.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Serve as the relatable, energetic "Face of the City," representing our lifestyle brand on-camera and at community events.
- Audience Architect: Take full ownership of the "7 in the City" social ecosystem. You aren't just posting; you are building a community through high-quality interaction and trend-setting content.
- Multi-Platform Strategy: Act as a lead social media strategist. You understand the nuances of the TikTok vs. Instagram vs. YouTube algorithms and optimize every piece of content for maximum engagement.
- Visual Aesthetics: Utilize CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva to design professional-grade graphics, overlays, and transitions that make our content look like a premium digital production.
- Agile Content Creation: Thrive in a fast-paced, "always-on" digital environment where you pivot based on what's trending today.
What You Bring to the Team
- Proven Influencer Track Record: You must have a demonstrable history of growing an audience or shaping a brand (either for a company or your own personal brand). We want to see your metrics, your portfolio, and your "vibe."
- Natural On-Camera Persona: You are authentic, relatable, and polished without feeling "scripted." You understand how to engage an audience, not talk at
- Technical Content Mastery: You are an agile "one-person production house." You are expert-level in mobile cinematography, lighting, and non-linear editing (CapCut, Premiere, etc.).
- Creative Autonomy: You don't wait for an assignment. You are a self-directed organizer who manages your own content calendar and hits deadlines without a boss over your shoulder.
- The "Designer's Eye": You have a sophisticated sense of style and branding. You know what looks good, what's on-trend, and how to maintain a cohesive visual identity.
- Bilingual, Bicultural? Not a must, but it would sure be helpful in this heavily Hispanic community.
Requirements
- Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Influencer or Content Creator.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment (cameras, tripods, lighting).
- A portfolio or reel that showcases your storytelling, personality, and creative visual style.
