Community Relations Director
Reports to: Executive Director
Job Summary/Position Overview:
The Community Relations Director is responsible for all phases of the sales and marketing process that will ensure occupancy and revenue growth consistent with community and competitive expectations and positioning. These areas include strategic market planning and execution of such plan, competitive intelligence, ability to relate with seniors and the adult child compassionately, and be a good educator and influencer of The Villages' distinctive advantages.
The Community Relations Director must be able to manage the multiple variables of lead management, business development, event planning and outreach, advertising and social media as well as being creative, all with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm. They build deep connections with their prospects, residents, professional referral sources and their internal team. Success in this role is measured by:

- · Enhanced revenue due to creative pricing, programs or distinctions
- · Positive brand reputation in the market-place
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- At least two years of experience in senior living sales with a proven track record of success in growing occupancy, revenue and metrics.
- Ability to develop creative and strategic plans that incorporate outreach development and purposeful event planning.
- Lead management practices that net advancing the sales process to meet occupancy goals.
- Awareness of issues and trends affecting the industry.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems particularly Google, Excel and Word and use of a CRM data base system.
Work schedule: Core work hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Special projects, events, or assignments may require additional hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
General Responsibilities:
Participates in sales training, self-improvement activities, and professional development activities related to marketing and sales, senior housing, and prospect counseling.
Maintains a calendar to provide visibility of schedule. CRD is responsible for the accuracy of the information entered in the calendar and CRM system to ensure accurate reporting.
Conducts quarterly market analysis and/or competitive site visits to be familiar with comparable communities and operations in the Primary Market Area.
Participates in informational meetings, special-events, and training, as required to maintain and improve skillset for performance to goals.
Educates, encourages and motivates facility staff regarding the importance of their individual roles in successfully marketing the facility.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned, including Manager on Duty assignment.
Sales & Admissions:
Conduct and complete sales calls to increase community occupancy and revenue.
Assist walk-in visitors and potential residents with tours and community information.
Respond in a timely manner to phone inquiries and walk-ins, and mail brochures or other requested information.
Effectively perform tours, determining prospects' needs, and communicate benefits of community with prospective residents.
Has knowledge to differentiate residents' needs for independent living versus higher level of care, and has ability to communicate senior living decisions with prospects.
Drive occupancy and revenue to meet company goals through use of the CRM database.
Marketing & Public Relations
Creating, developing, organizing, maintaining and implementing special-events and community outreach calendar for the community to meet established monthly goals.
