Thyme Saver Meals is a locally owned meal preparation company based in St. Petersburg, Florida focused on helping busy individuals and families enjoy healthy, high-quality meals at home.

We are looking for a self-motivated and creative marketing assistant who enjoys coming up with ideas and taking ownership of executing them. This role is ideal for a recent marketing graduate, freelance marketer, or tech-savvy individual who enjoys working with small businesses and helping a local brand grow.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the owner to support marketing efforts and help expand the visibility of a growing local food brand. - Not Looking For Paid Ad Agency

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management

Primary platforms: Facebook and Instagram

  • Create and schedule social media posts
  • Engage with followers through comments and messages
  • Post regularly to feeds and stories
  • Interact in relevant Facebook groups
  • Assist with occasional reels or video content
  • Help grow and engage our local online audience

Content Creation

  • Assist with blog writing and website content
  • Use AI tools and research to generate content ideas
  • Upload and optimize blog posts with images and SEO keywords

Graphic Design

Using Canva Pro to create:

  • Social media graphics
  • Menu announcements
  • Email graphics
  • Marketing flyers or promotional materials

Email Marketing

  • Create and schedule weekly menu emails
  • Assist with promotional campaigns
  • Support targeted email campaigns to improve engagement and conversions

Website Updates

  • Update website pages, photos, and menu content
  • Assist with SEO improvements and site updates
  • Help create blog posts or new pages when needed

Influencer & Community Outreach

  • Research and connect with local influencers aligned with our brand
  • Assist with coordinating influencer collaborations
  • Support community partnerships with local businesses

Data Tracking

  • Track marketing metrics such as:
  • social media growth
  • email list growth
  • website traffic
  • Enter weekly marketing data into a KPI tracking document

Event & Local Marketing Support

Occasionally assist with:

  • local pop-up events or markets
  • capturing content for social media
  • community outreach efforts

We’re excited for someone to bring ideas and help expand new areas of our marketing. Areas we’d love to develop include:

  • Photography & Videography: Capturing food photography, kitchen moments, and short video clips for social media.
  • Influencer Partnerships: Helping build relationships with local influencers and coordinating collaborations.
  • Community Outreach: Expanding partnerships with local gyms, businesses, and community groups.
  • Email Marketing Growth: Creating targeted campaigns and helping grow our email subscriber list.
  • SMS Marketing: Assisting with weekly text message campaigns and customer communication.

Ideal Candidate

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Enjoys both creative marketing and analytical tasks
  • Interested in helping grow a local food brand
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable learning new marketing tools and platforms

Experience with some of the following is helpful :

  • Social media marketing
  • Canva or graphic design tools
  • Email marketing platforms
  • Website editing or blogging
  • Basic SEO knowledge
  • Content creation (photo or video)

Position Details

Location: St. Petersburg, FL

Schedule: Part-time (15–25 hours per month)

Work Style: Mostly remote with occasional in-person content creation or events
