We’re growing fast, and we’re looking for a Social Media Manager who believes in what we’re building - someone who can own our digital presence, build an engaged audience, and drive real business results.

This is a high-ownership role, not an executor role. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a social media and community-building strategy that grows our audience, deepens brand loyalty, and generates leads for the business. We’re not handing you a playbook - we want you to write it.

You’ll work directly with the founder, have genuine creative authority, and see the direct impact of your decisions on revenue and community growth. If you thrive in fast-moving, mission-driven environments and you’re energized by building something from scratch - this role is for you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with our brand mission and business growth goals
  • Identify the right platforms, content formats, and posting cadences for our target audience
  • Define a community-building approach that turns followers into an engaged, loyal audience
  • Establish a lead generation framework that moves social audiences toward becoming customers
  • Present your strategic recommendations to leadership and adapt based on performance data

Content Creation & Publishing

  • Build and manage a content calendar that keeps the brand consistently visible and on-message
  • Create and produce original content - including short-form video, graphics, and written copy - that resonates with our audience
  • Maintain a brand voice that is authentic, empowering, and consistent across all channels
  • Identify content opportunities and trending formats that are relevant to our niche

Community Management & Growth

  • Build, manage, and grow an engaged online community around the Unaltered Athletics brand
  • Respond to comments, messages, and community interactions in a timely and brand-aligned manner
  • Develop programming, campaigns, and initiatives that deepen community engagement and retention
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential brand advocates and partners

Lead Generation & Conversion

  • Design and execute social strategies that drive measurable lead generation for the business
  • Grow our app download base and email subscriber list through organic and paid social efforts
  • Collaborate with the CMO on paid social campaigns - contributing to creative strategy and asset production
  • Report on the relationship between social activity and downstream business outcomes

Analytics & Reporting

  • Define the KPIs that matter most for our goals and build a reporting rhythm around them
  • Deliver regular performance reports with clear insights, honest assessment, and recommended next steps
  • Test, learn, and iterate - bringing a data-informed mindset to every creative decision

Influencer & Partnership Coordination

  • Identify and evaluate potential influencer and brand partnership opportunities relevant to our audience
  • Manage outreach, agreements, and content coordination for influencer and UGC campaigns
  • Track and report on partnership performance

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience managing social media for a brand, agency, or as an independent content creator
  • Demonstrated ability to grow an audience and drive measurable engagement - please be prepared to share examples
  • Proficiency in short-form video production: filming, editing, and publishing
  • Strong copywriting skills across caption writing, hooks, and calls-to-action
  • Experience building or managing an online community
  • Comfortable working with social media analytics tools to measure and interpret performance
  • Strategic thinker who can develop a plan, not just execute one
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and brings ideas to the table without being asked
  • Ability to commute to Lake Mary, FL for bi-weekly in-office performance recap meetings.

Preferred (Bonus Points)

  • Personal connection to health, fitness, or wellness - especially as a parent or caregiver
  • Experience in the health & wellness, supplements, or consumer packaged goods space
  • Familiarity with paid social advertising and boosting organic content
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and understanding of list-building strategies
  • Graphic design skills or experience with design tools for social content creation
