Overview

Working with the EHS Commercial Services team and the hotel General Manager, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the hotel’s brand and services. This role involves working closely with external PR and digital agencies to ensure cohesive and effective marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing within the hospitality industry, with a proven track record of driving brand awareness and achieving revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with the hotel business objectives.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
    • Define target markets for the hotel’s business centers and develop positioning strategies to enhance brand visibility for each.
  • Collaboration with Agencies:
    • Liaise with agencies such as PR, Social, Digital Marketing, Creative, Branding to ensure all efforts are aligned with hotel business goals and brand positioning.
  • Campaign Management:
    • Oversee the planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels for the hotel’s business units.
    • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.
    • Manage marketing budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and achieving ROI targets.
  • Content Development:
    • Work with internal teams and external partners to develop high-quality, engaging content that is aligned with the brand voice.
    • Develop and manage influencer partnerships alongside hotel agencies.
    • Monitor and analyze influencer content performance and ROI.
  • Event/Activation Programming:
    • Plan and execute marketing strategies for hotel programming, partnerships, and activations.
    • Create and implement innovative marketing programs that enhance guest engagement and brand loyalty.
    • Develop seasonal and thematic programming to attract diverse guest demographics.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of programming initiatives.
  • Local Marketing
    • Develop and implement local marketing strategies to attract nearby residents and regional travelers.
    • Foster partnership with local businesses, attractions and tourism board to create mutually beneficial promotions.
    • Plan and execute local events, sponsorships and community involvement initiatives.
  • Brand Management:
    • Maintain and enhance brand image through consistent messaging and visual identity.
    • Development and implement initiatives to increase brand loyalty and customer engagement.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including hotel management, partners, and vendors.
    • Communicate marketing plans and performance to senior management and other internal teams.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare regular reports on marketing activities, campaign performance, and market trends.
    • Use data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies and decision-making.
    • Present findings and recommendation to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Luxury/Upper Upscale Lifestyle hotel experience
    • In-depth knowledge of ski resort market
    • Experience marketing to consumers that align with the hotel branding and positioning
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
    • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficient in digital marketing tools and analytics
    • Ability to think creatively and strategically
