Social Media Specialist Job Description

Max Connect Digital is looking for a talented and motivated Social Media Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead and execute organic social media strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries. You will play a key role in driving engagement, growing brand awareness, and increasing social followings through thoughtful strategy, strong content execution, and excellent client communication.

We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This person should be comfortable managing multiple projects at once, meeting deadlines, staying on task, and serving as a confident, professional point of contact for clients.

This role is ideal for someone who not only understands social media strategy and content creation, but is also excited to help grow Max Connect Digital’s Organic Social offering through collaboration on pitches, service packages, deliverables, and pricing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement organic social media strategies that align with client goals and business objectives
  • Create engaging, on-brand content for clients across platforms, including copy, graphics, short-form video concepts, and campaign ideas
  • Manage and maintain social media content calendars, ensuring content is planned, organized, and published on time
  • Monitor social media channels and engage with online communities through comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and professional manner
  • Track performance metrics and analyze social media results to identify wins, opportunities, and recommendations for optimization
  • Collaborate directly with clients through calls, meetings, and ongoing communication regarding strategy, content, and performance
  • Travel locally as needed to support clients with content creation and on-site social media needs
  • Support influencer, partner, or community-based opportunities when relevant to client campaigns
  • Use tools such as Hootsuite and Google Drive to organize workflow, schedule content, and manage deliverables efficiently
  • Stay current on social platform updates, trends, best practices, and emerging opportunities
  • Contribute to the growth of Max Connect Digital’s Organic Social services by participating in pitches and helping shape packages, deliverables, and pricing

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 1–3 years of experience in organic social media management, content creation, or a related role
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms, especially Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Experience with Hootsuite and confidence using Google Drive for collaboration and organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong client-facing skills and comfort leading client calls and conversations about ongoing work
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to stay on task and work independently
  • Ability to operate at a high level in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, energetic, and team-oriented personality
  • Creative mindset with a strong eye for content, branding, and storytelling
  • Analytical ability to interpret performance data and apply insights to strategy
  • Willingness to travel locally for client needs and content capture

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Canva, graphic design, or basic video editing
  • Experience participating in marketing pitches, proposals, or client growth opportunities
  • Familiarity with building service packages, scopes, or pricing structures for marketing deliverables

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Flexible schedule between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to travel locally as needed
  • Occasional projects may require more than 40 hours per week

Follow-Up and Accountability

  • Participate in an annual review with your supervisor
  • Monthly informal check-ins and regular 1:1 meetings
  • Attend client meetings and internal team meetings consistently
