We are seeking a Social Media Intern to assist in managing online presence by creating engaging content, scheduling posts across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.), and analyzing performance metrics. You will support marketing teams with brainstorming campaigns, community engagement, and trend research to increase brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Draft, edit, and produce daily content (text, images, video/Reels/TikToks, etc.) that aligns with brand identity.
- Scheduling & Posting: Manage content calendars and schedule posts using various resources.
- Community Management: Monitor social channels, responding to comments and direct messages in a timely manner.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement, reach, and follower growth to produce weekly/monthly reports.
- Trend Research: Stay up to date with new social media trends, platform features, and emerging trends to keep the brand relevant.
- Campaign Support: Brainstorm and assist with influencer marketing and paid advertising campaigns.
- Event Support: Attend various assigned business events to capture content, discern when it is appropriate for photos and/or video to be taken, and format to align with brand identity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter/X).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic photography, video editing, and graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Internship Structure
- Duration: Usually 3–6 months (summer or semester-based) – could potentially turn into a longer-term role.
- Hours: Part-time, 15–20 hours a week.
