Creative Assistant / Project Manager

Manly Bands

Full-time

Lindon, UT, USA

About the job

About Manly Bands John and Michelle, co-founders of Manly Bands, started their company after a terrible experience trying to get John's wedding band. Not only could the jewelers not size John's big hands, but the choices they had were plain and boring. John wanted a ring he could get excited about. So they decided to shake up the wedding band industry. They quit their jobs, moved across the country, got married, and started Manly Bands all in 30 days!

John dove into the website and marketing while Michelle gave each ring it's unique personality and took excellent care of their customers. Michelle's mom and dad were helping them ship out the orders and write thank you cards while John's mom was making wood wedding boxes. Since 2016, they've moved to Utah and grown to now have an incredible team always pushing the limits of what can fit in a ring and how it can be captured on film.

Headquarters located in Lindon, Utah.

Our Mission

It's simple, Manly Bands helps every man (woman, and alien) find a genuine badass and unique-to-them wedding band. We believe if you are going to wear one ring for the rest of your life, then you better be guaran 'damn 'teed to love it. Manly Bands was created so that EVERYONE could have a buying experience with reverence, class, and love during the selection process.

About The Role Manly Bands is looking for a sharp, hands-on Creative Assistant / Project Manager to bring order to a fast-moving creative operation. This is a traffic coordinator and producer-lite role at its core — the person who keeps projects organized, files findable, deadlines respected, and designers and editors moving without bottlenecks.

Right now, the creative team has too many moving pieces, no single owner keeping projects on track, and requests and approvals getting tangled. You’ll fix that. You’ll own intake, organization, coordination, and follow-through — ensuring marketing gets what it needs, when it needs it, at the right quality.

Our marketing efforts span digital, social, website, photo and video productions, commercials, influencer work, and both internal and external resources — including collateral for brand extensions like Rosie Ray. You’ll be the connective tissue that makes it all run.

What You'll Own

  • Creative project intake — managing the intake queue for all creative requests, making sure nothing falls through the cracks and every ask has an owner, a deadline, and a clear brief
  • Project tracking — maintaining timelines, status dashboards, and workflows across campaigns so designers, editors, and marketers always know what’s live, what’s next, and what’s late
  • Shoot coordination — logistics, scheduling, prep lists, and day-of support for photo and video productions
  • Asset organization — maintaining a clean, accessible system for all creative files so assets are never lost and always version-controlled
  • Approvals and proofing — owning the review and approval process, routing assets to the right stakeholders and keeping feedback loops tight and documented
  • Traffic management — keeping designers and editors unblocked, prioritizing workloads, and flagging capacity issues before they become missed deadlines
  • Cross-team coordination — serving as the daily point of contact between creative, marketing, digital, and external partners so handoffs are smooth and expectations are clear
  • Vendor and freelancer management — coordinating with external agencies, contractors, and vendors to align on deliverables, timelines, and quality standards
  • Process building — developing and maintaining standardized templates, tools, and workflows that reduce chaos and scale with the team
  • Reporting — keeping leadership informed on project status, milestone progress, and any risks or blockers

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a creative traffic, project coordination, or marketing production role
  • Must be available to work on-site at our Lindon, UT headquarters
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities without dropping balls
  • Obsessive attention to detail and a natural instinct for organization
  • Strong communication skills — you can follow up, push back diplomatically, and keep stakeholders aligned without drama
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with creative production workflows — you understand what goes into a photo shoot, a video edit, or a design round of revisions
  • Experience working across digital, social, content, and e-commerce marketing channels
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively — you take ownership without needing hand-holding
