Marketing Intern

SRC

Internship

Washington, US (Remote)

$18/h - $25/h

About the job

This isn't a "schedule static posts and update the blog" internship.

SRC is the only longevity & performance supplement that consolidates your entire supplement cabinet into two clinically dosed products. Creatine, Electrolytes, and Cellular Longevity. Designed for people in their 30s and 40s who already invest in their health and want to perform better, for longer.

Originally launched as hydration and sold out twice, we're now pre-launch on our new product line, bootstrapped, and about to go loud. We need someone who can show up to content shoots, help plan what we're creating, capture and edit the raw material, and turn it all into a content engine that builds a brand people actually want to follow.

If you spend more time on TikTok and Instagram than you'd admit to your parents, if you've ever edited a video just because you wanted to, if you know what a hook is and why the first 2 seconds matter more than the other 58... keep reading.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Plan and execute 1-2 content shoots/sessions per week with the founder, helping brainstorm ideas, setting up shots, and capturing footage that becomes 8-12+ pieces of content per week across platforms
  • Edit raw video into short-form content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn) that stops the scroll and stays on brand
  • Create static posts and carousels that educate, tell stories, and drive engagement
  • Repurpose content across formats: pull quotes for carousels, transcribe for LinkedIn posts, clip audio for stories
  • Manage the content calendar and posting schedule across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts
  • Write captions and hooks that sound like a real person.
  • Help research and source brand ambassadors and creators who align with SRC's mission. Build target lists, support outreach, and help manage relationships with micro-influencers and ambassadors who become faces of the brand.
  • Track what's working and what's not. We're building this from scratch, so the data you gather in the first 90 days will shape the entire content strategy going forward.
  • Contribute ideas. Seriously. If you spot a trend, a sound, a format that could work for us, we want to hear it. You're closer to this stuff than we are. That's the whole point.

Who You Are

  • You can edit video. Doesn't matter what tool: CapCut, IG Edits, Premiere, DaVinci, your phone. If the output is good, we don't care how you got there.
  • You understand what makes someone stop scrolling. You know hooks. You know pacing. You know when to cut. You've probably yelled at a video for being 10 seconds too long.
  • You're on TikTok and Instagram daily, not just watching, but noticing what works and why.
  • You can write copy that sounds human. No corporate voice.
  • You can show up to a shoot, help frame a shot, capture b-roll, and know how to get good footage on a phone.
  • You're self-directed. Nobody is going to micromanage your Canva files. We'll give you direction and trust you to run.
  • You're interested in health, fitness, or wellness, even casually.

Bonus Points

  • You've grown your own social media account (even a small one)
  • You've worked with a brand, creator, or small business on content before
  • You know your way around Canva and CapCut/Edits/Premier
  • You have a knack for finding up-and-coming creators before everyone else does
  • You've made a Reel or TikTok that got more views than you expected and you know exactly why it hit

Why This Isn't a Normal Internship

We're not going to have you organize a Google Drive and call it experience. This is a ground-floor role at a real startup in one of the fastest-growing categories in consumer health. The content you create will be the first thing thousands of people see when they discover SRC. Not only will this be an incredible resume builder, but it'll also open the door to be one of the first employees in a company that plans to scale massively.

What you get:

  • Real portfolio work. Actual content for an actual brand that actual humans will see.
  • Direct access to the founder. You'll work directly with Kam, not report to a middle manager who reports to another middle manager. You'll see how brand decisions get made in real time.
  • Ownership. If you're good, you'll own the entire social content operation for a brand that's about to launch into a market growing at 26% per year. That's not on most people's resumes at 21.
  • Flexibility. 8 to 12 hours a week. Weekly video calls to talk strategy and updates. Shoots are in person, but the editing and posting happen on your schedule. We care about output, not when you're sitting at a desk.
  • Growth potential. If SRC grows the way we're building it to, this role grows with it, and you're first in line.

The Details

  • Pay: $18 to $25/hour depending on experience and skill level
  • Hours: 8 to 12 hours/week
  • Location: Hybrid. Content shoots are in person in the DC area. Editing, posting, and planning can be done remotely.
  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: Ongoing. This is not a 10-week summer thing and done. If it's working, it keeps going.

How to Apply

Skip the cover letter. Instead, send us:

  • Your Instagram or TikTok handle (personal or any account you've worked on)
  • 5 to 10 examples of content you've edited or created (links are fine, doesn't need to be professional)
  • A few sentences on why this sounds interesting to you. Not why you'd be a "valuable asset to our team." Just tell us what caught your eye.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
