Our industry-leading Communications and Brand team is seeking a creative, self-starting Comms & Brand Intern for the summer semester to support Lime in deepening our relationships with riders, keeping our finger on the pulse of cultural trends, and crafting our brand story for the world. As an Intern at Lime you will have the opportunity to contribute to:

  • Creative storytelling about Lime’s impact in revolutionizing urban travel in cities around the world;
  • Ongoing media relations efforts to further position Lime as leading consumer brand with a sustainability-minded purpose;
  • Purposeful writing, including press releases, blog posts, Q&As and more, in support of Lime’s strategic goals
  • Social media strategy and content creation support, helping to shape Lime’s voice and presence across global platforms.
  • Trend tracking and cultural monitoring, identifying digital moments, influencers, and brand collaborations to keep Lime culturally relevant.

This is a remote position within the United States with a requirement for candidates to reside in either New York City or Denver to maintain effective collaboration across teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support Global PR Lead & Global Social Media Manager with key peak-season inbounds, projects and requests, and learn firsthand from a comms and brand team.
  • Provide support across core Public Relations programs, including earned media strategy, content development, speaking engagement proposals, award submissions, and more.
  • Support industry and competitive news monitoring programs, as well as Lime’s executive speaking engagement and awards strategy.
  • Develop and build media databases by researching media (locally, nationally and globally) and help to curate media lists for the Global PR Lead.
  • Research and support the development of proactive editorial pitches and other written communications
  • Provide support for metrics reporting, clippings and internal reporting newsletters as well as support for events and brand campaigns, as needed.
  • Learn Lime’s social media strategy and support content ideation, creation, execution and community management for Lime’s global social media channels
  • Track social content performance and share out key learnings to inform content planning
  • Work with the Global Social Media Manager to identify opportunities for brand collaborations and partnerships with content creators to strengthen Lime’s presence within culture

University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:

  • University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program with an expected graduation date in 2026, 2027 or 2028.
  • Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting in May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruitment process

About You:

  • Internship Experience: 0-1 year of marketing or communications internship experience
  • Proactive minded approach, with an ability to set priorities and deliver results using excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail
  • Intermediate understanding of media relations and the public relations industry
  • Inherently organized and able to juggle multiple projects flawlessly
  • Demonstrates a foundational understanding that effective social media requires strategy, not just participation.
  • A news hound who voraciously consumes media, is always up on current events and assiduously follows how brands drive headlines
  • Fluency in internet/meme culture. If someone has sincerely told you to “touch grass” because you are TOO online, this internship is for you.

The base salary range listed reflects what Lime reasonably expects to offer for this role, with the final base salary determined by objective factors such as the candidate’s location and relevant skills and experience. Depending on the position, the total compensation package may also include discretionary annual performance bonus opportunities and equity, subject to applicable plan terms and eligibility requirements.
