We are Givaudan. Human by nature. The Active Beauty (Cosmetic ingredients) Senior Account Manager manages assigned accounts to achieve revenue, gross profit, and growth targets. You will manage account planning, forecasting, pricing, and execution of customer projects from brief through production and launch. You will coordinate teams and maintain relationships with customer team members to support our goals.

Responsibilities Account Management and Customer Engagement
- Manage assigned accounts to meet revenue, gross profit, and growth targets
- Maintain relationships with customer decision-makers, influencers, and partners
- Develop understanding of customer strategies, positioning, strengths, weaknesses, and competition
- Ensure participation in core listings and targeted customer briefs
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and support retention of existing business
- Promote value propositions, including the latest Active and Specialties Ingredients, with a scientific biology angle.
- Monitor competitor activity and market conditions
- Manage customer submissions, follow-ups, and transition of projects to production and launch
- Manage customer issues and track resolution status
- Support Customer Care in supply chain coordination and Credit Management in receivables collection
Business Planning and Commercial Execution
- Develop, review, and build Account and Category Plans, including forecasts and budgets
- Apply strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support account performance
- Monitor Goals (sales, gross profit, win rate) and take corrective actions when targets are not met
- Lead pricing discussions according to company guidelines and ensure implementation of agreements
- Apply cost-to-serve considerations to support profitability and resource allocation
- Understand profitability drivers, including raw material cost impact
- Manage financial aspects of accounts, including forecasting and pricing models
- Support implementation of pricing agreements and commercial terms
Leadership and Project Execution
- Coordinate teams (R&D, Marketing, Consumer Research, Applications)
- Present account plans and project updates to company partners
- Lead brief handling processes and ensure completion of required functional steps
- Coordinate internal resources to support efficient delivery of customer solutions
- Deliver presentations to all partners
- Work with international teams to support account goals
- Follow company policies and regulatory and EHS requirements
Your Professional Profile Includes
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, a scientific background in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology preferred, an MBA is preferred
10+ years of professional experience
6+ years of experience in a related industry or functional role
Experience managing customer accounts
Experience coordinating teams
Experience with pricing discussions and contract terms
Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and financial tracking
Present information to all partners
English proficiency (written and verbal)
Knowledge of market dynamics, customer strategies, and competitor activity
Industry knowledge relevant to product, applications, or technical processes
Compensation and Benefits
The established salary range for this position is $155,000–$185,000. Actual compensation will depend on individual qualifications. Medical, dental, and vision coverage and a high-matching 401(k) retirement plan.
