About the Fayetteville Woodpeckers: The Fayetteville Woodpeckers are the Single-A affiliate of the Houston Astros and play their home games at Segra Stadium in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Position Overview: The Manager, Marketing will oversee the club’s marketing strategy, social media presence, digital content, and campaign performance. This role will be responsible for aligning digital engagement with revenue-driving marketing initiatives, ensuring the club effectively attracts, converts, and retains fans. The ideal candidate will be a creative and analytical marketer who can combine compelling storytelling with data-driven insights to grow the club’s fan base and support ticket sales.

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities* Marketing Strategy + Develop and implement the club’s overall marketing and promotional strategy with a focus on driving ticket revenue and maximizing brand exposure. + Create and manage social media strategy and content calendars across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and LinkedIn. + Align paid marketing initiatives with organic digital campaigns to support ticket sales and promotional activations. + Develop demand generation strategies that guide fans through the purchase funnel, including lead generation, nurturing, conversion, and retention. + Support revenue priorities including full season tickets, partial season plans, group sales, and individual game tickets. + Manage and oversee strategy, content, and updates for team websites including fayettevillewoodpeckers.com and segrastadium.com. + Collaborate with league partners, licensors, and digital vendors to share marketing initiatives and ensure brand alignment.

  • Analytics and Performance Tracking
    • Implement tracking tools and analytics to evaluate digital performance across marketing and social channels.
    • Monitor engagement metrics, campaign performance, and audience trends to optimize content and marketing strategies.
    • Provide regular reporting and analysis to leadership with recommendations based on data and insights.
  • Content Creation and Digital Engagement
    • Create and publish engaging digital content that excites fans and supports the club’s brand identity.
    • Collaborate with creative and production teams on social-first content including graphics, photography, animation, and video.
    • Capture live content and edit digital assets for use across multiple platforms.
    • Maintain an organized library of marketing assets and digital content for use across departments.

Required Education and Experience:* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing social media strategy, marketing campaigns, or digital content.
  • Demonstrated experience growing and managing social media engagement, particularly on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Experience analyzing marketing performance using tools such as Google Analytics or similar reporting platforms.
  • Strong experience in content creation, copywriting, and digital storytelling.

Preferred Qualifications:* Experience working in sports, entertainment, or live event marketing.

  • Familiarity with digital advertising, influencer partnerships, or paid social campaigns.
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams on graphic design or video production.

Work Environment:

This position primarily operates in an office environment and regularly uses standard office equipment including computers, phones, and printers. Work will also occur at the ballpark during games, events, and promotional activities.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to communicate, stand, walk, and use hands to operate equipment or capture content. The position may require extended periods of standing or walking during events.

Travel:

Limited travel may be required for league meetings, marketing events, or professional development opportunities.
