The Marketing Specialist at Deschutes Brewery will be responsible for assisting with the development, execution, and implementation of marketing programs, brand development, and other initiatives across a variety of channels. The Marketing Specialist will be tasked with supporting various marketing functions across all three of our brands: Deschutes Brewery, PARTYBOMB and Boneyard Beer. The Marketing Specialist will own critical operational and administrative tasks, and the person in this role must maintain strong attention to detail, be highly organized, and the ability to prioritize tasks. The Marketing Specialist must maintain a professional sense of ownership over their workload and their contributions to the marketing team. We are looking for someone with positive energy and a can-do attitude who sees this position as a potential stepping stone to future growth within the organization.
What You'll be Doing:
- Assists the marketing team with organizational tasks like maintaining calendars, taking meeting notes, Brandfolder management, Monday.com management, etc..
- Communicates cross-functionally to curate, create and distribute two internal monthly newsletters. Must be comfortable with copywriting and using Canva and Klayvio.
- Assists with marketing accounting tasks which include; new vendor on-boarding, purchase order creation, and monthly budget reconciliation; this task works cross-functionally with the accounting department.
- Responsible for submissions to the TTB (Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau); tracks and communicates statuses to the Brand Directors/Brand Managers.
- Oversees Marketing shipments, including: product samples, PR and Influencer packages, POS/merchandise, or event-related items.
- Assists with the development of campaign briefs, SOPs, asset creation, and campaign recaps, as assigned.
- The Marketing Specialist will assist with event activations, which might include set-up, product sampling, or tear down. Once hired, they must obtain an OLCC permit and Alcohol Server Card.
- Collaborate with teammates and participate in creative brainstorms and content creation.
- Works cross-functionally within the organization and is a marketing point-of-contact for the sales team.
- Must follow and adhere to all Deschutes Brewery company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
- 4-year college degree or equivalent combination education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.
- 1 to 2 years' experience working in a marketing department or in a related administrative position.
- Experience with project management, executing marketing programs, and/or experiential events.
- Experience with project management, executing marketing programs, and/or experiential events.
- Must be highly motivated, organized, and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders on cross functional projects.
- Must be proficient in MS suite and strong MS PowerPoint skills.
- Additional skills with basic design, content-creation, PowerPoint slide design, or project management tools is a plus!
