Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and strategic Part-Time Public Relations & Social Media Coordinator to manage our brand presence across digital channels. The ideal candidate combines strong communication skills with social media expertise to build engagement, manage reputation, and support organizational goals.

Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Management

  • Develop and execute social media content calendars across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, TikTok)
  • Create engaging posts, graphics, videos, and stories aligned with brand voice
  • Schedule and publish content consistently
  • Monitor platform analytics and adjust strategy based on performance metrics
  • Engage with followers through comments, messages, and community interactions

Public Relations

  • Draft press releases, media pitches, and talking points
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers
  • Coordinate media outreach campaigns and press events
  • Monitor media coverage and compile reports on brand mentions
  • Manage crisis communications when needed

Brand & Content Strategy

  • Maintain consistent brand messaging across all channels
  • Collaborate with marketing team on campaigns and promotions
  • Identify trending topics and opportunities for organic reach
  • Develop content that drives engagement, traffic, and conversions
  • Represent the organization professionally in online spaces

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track KPIs (engagement rates, follower growth, reach, impressions)
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly performance reports
  • Analyze competitor activity and industry trends
  • Recommend improvements based on data insights

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in social media management and/or PR
  • Portfolio demonstrating successful campaigns or content work
  • Proficiency with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, etc.)
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of SEO and content optimization

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with paid social advertising (Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads)
  • Video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar)
  • Photography or videography experience
  • Crisis communication training
  • Bilingual abilities (depending on target audience)
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS basics

Working Conditions
