Main purpose of the Legal Intern role:

The REVOLVE Legal team is a small, collaborative group that works closely with business leaders across the company. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work directly with attorneys on substantive projects and gain exposure to a wide range of legal issues that impact a global e-commerce business. This role is best suited for students who are intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced business environment.

Major Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conduct legal research and prepare written analysis on a variety of legal issues relevant to REVOLVE’s business, including but not limited to intellectual property, brand protection, consumer protection, marketing and advertising compliance, privacy, and e-commerce regulation.

  • Assist with the review of commercial agreements and business arrangements, including vendor, influencer, marketing, technology, and retail-related contracts.

  • Support cross-functional teams across the company—including merchandising, marketing, product development, operations, and retail—on legal issues related to product launches, brand protection, and day-to-day business initiatives.

  • Assist in developing internal legal resources, policies, and process documentation to support business teams and promote compliance across REVOLVE’s e-commerce and physical retail operations

Required Competencies:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work product.

  • Exceptional attention to detail; ability to review work carefully before submission.

  • Highly responsive and dependable; must be consistently available during agreed working hours.

  • Comfortable managing multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy.

  • Willingness to ask thoughtful questions and take ownership of assigned projects.

  • Have working knowledge of intellectual property laws, digital advertising laws, securities laws and/or e-commerce laws.

  • Prior work experience is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Able to apply substantive knowledge and interests to tasks in a real-world business setting.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply legal principles to practical situations.

  • Strong academic performance with demonstrated legal research and writing ability.

  • Prior coursework or demonstrated interest in intellectual property, advertising law, securities law, or e-commerce law preferred.

  • Law review, journal, moot court, or research assistant experience is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school (2L or 3L preferred)

  • Must be able to consistently commit 20 hours per week during and be reliably available during core business hours for meetings and project collaboration.

  • This role requires consistent weekly availability and timely responses to team communications.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Revolve includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.

 

A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range is $18.50 to $18.50.
