Social Media Manager

Marketini

Full-time / Part-time / Contract

New York, NY, US

$20/h - $22/h

About the job

Marketini is a NYC based creative marketing agency seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to lead content strategy and execution across a portfolio of institutional and professional-grade client accounts. Our clients operate in complex, high-stakes industries — from real estate investment to international education and government contracting — and require social media that reflects the sophistication and credibility of their brands.

This is not a role for someone who posts and hopes for the best. We need someone who researches what's working in a given industry, builds strategic content calendars grounded in that research, and consistently delivers polished, high-quality output across multiple accounts simultaneously. You'll report to our Creative Director and Marketing Manager, working closely with our content creation team to translate complex subject matter into compelling social content.

What You'll Do

Manage and maintain multiple social media accounts across Meta platforms, TikTok, YouTube, and other channels — each with distinct audiences, industries, and brand voices.

Conduct ongoing competitive and industry research to identify high-performing content formats, messaging strategies, and platform trends relevant to each client's vertical.

Develop and execute strategic content calendars that reflect both brand positioning and current market dynamics.

Create, write, and schedule content that communicates complex or technical subject matter clearly and professionally — without dumbing it down or resorting to gimmicks.

Coordinate with video, photo, and design teams to ensure deliverables are consistent, on-brand, and produced to a high standard.

Lead community management across all platforms — comments, DMs, and proactive engagement — with a tone appropriate to professional and institutional audiences.

Monitor content performance through analytics, surface actionable insights, and make data-driven adjustments to strategy.

Prepare and present regular performance reports with clear recommendations for growth and optimization.

Manage influencer identification, outreach, and ongoing relationships where relevant to client strategy.

Execute real-time content decisions and handle sensitive or time-critical communications with good judgment.

Required Experience & Skills

3+ years of professional social media management, ideally with experience managing accounts for B2B, institutional, or professional services brands.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts across different industries simultaneously while maintaining quality and consistency.

Strong research skills — you know how to study a market, analyze what competitors and category leaders are doing, and translate that into an informed content strategy.

Deep working knowledge of Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.

Proficiency with content calendar development, scheduling tools, and analytics/reporting platforms.

Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt voice and tone across very different brand contexts.

Strong creative judgment and attention to detail — you can tell the difference between content that looks professional and content that doesn't.

Experience with influencer marketing and relationship management.

Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-client agency environment.

What Makes You Stand Out

Experience creating content for audiences in finance, real estate, education, government, or other regulated/institutional sectors.

A portfolio that demonstrates professional-grade social content — not just follower counts, but quality of output.

Proven ability to take a new client vertical, research what's working, and build a content strategy from scratch.

Multi-format expertise — Stories, Reels, Shorts, long-form video, carousels — with an understanding of what works where and why.

Experience with crisis communications or managing accounts where tone and accuracy are critical.

Basic photo/video editing skills.

Key Performance Areas

Content quality and brand consistency across accounts. Growth metrics including follower growth, engagement rates, reach, and impressions. Content calendar adherence and publishing consistency. Research-informed strategy development and iteration. Community engagement and response time. Campaign ROI and cross-platform optimization.

Work Environment

Midtown Manhattan office, full-time and in-office. You'll work alongside our video, photo, and creative teams in a collaborative environment. Salary starts at $20/hour with growth potential.
