Job Summary
We are seeking a Marketing Director to lead the strategy, execution, and performance of all marketing initiatives for both direct-to-consumer (DTC) retail buyers and wholesale customers. This role is responsible for developing a cohesive marketing strategy that strengthens brand positioning, drives ecommerce growth, and supports the wholesale sales team. You will lead and manage a team of four marketers and will oversee brand strategy, social media, content creation, performance marketing, ecommerce optimization, lifecycle marketing and B2B marketing. The ideal candidate combines brand storytelling with data-driven growth marketing and has a background or is an enthusiast in the automotive aftermarket industry. This role owns the marketing strategy responsible for driving revenue growth across both ecommerce and wholesale channels while strengthening brand leadership in the aftermarket wheel category.
What You’ll Do
DTC/Retail Marketing
● Build annual marketing plans to drive ecommerce growth including channel strategy, budget allocation, campaign calendars, and performance targets.
● Define and strengthen the company’s brand identity, value proposition, and market positioning within the aftermarket wheel category.
● Ensure brand consistency across website, social media, advertising and wholesale marketing materials.
● Develop compelling messaging that resonates with enthusiast consumers and wholesale customers.
● Support new product launches with integrated marketing campaigns.
● Optimize website performance for conversion rate, traffic acquisition, and customer experience.
● Develop merchandising strategies that align with external marketing campaigns.
● Manage performance marketing (Google, Meta) and own key growth metrics including: ROAS, MER and CAC.
● Continuously optimize campaigns through testing, attribution analysis, and funnel optimization.
● Oversee organic social strategy to grow brand awareness within the automotive enthusiast community.
● Oversee content creation including video, photography, and lifestyle marketing assets.
● Develop content partnerships with automotive influencers, builders, and industry partners to extend reach and build brand awareness.
B2B/Wholesale Marketing
● Partner closely with the wholesale sales team to develop marketing programs that increase sales from existing customers and win new customers.
● Build sales enablement tools including: sales collateral and content, co-op marketing programs and promotional assets.
● Lead and manage the design and creation of trade show booths, event collateral and the annual catalog.
● Oversee the evolution of HubSpot to support the sales pipeline, sales prospecting and reporting.
Leadership
● Lead, manage and mentor four internal marketing team members and external agency partners.
● Lead cross-functional collaboration with sales and operations teams.
● Manage reporting frameworks that measure marketing performance across channels and track key metrics including: channel performance, campaign ROI, and wholesale lead generation.
● Deliver regular reporting and insights to executive leadership.
● Build a high-performing marketing organization by setting clear priorities, establishing accountability, and developing team members through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
● Manage and hold accountable external agencies, freelancers, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with company objectives.
● Translate company revenue goals into clear marketing priorities, campaigns, and measurable KPIs for the team.
What We are Looking For
● Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field.
● 8+ years of marketing experience, including leadership roles in ecommerce or consumer products.
● Experience developing marketing programs that support both DTC ecommerce and B2B wholesale channels.
● Strong background in: branding, social media marketing, performance marketing, and ecommerce marketing.
● Experience with Shopify, HubSpot and Google Analytics.
● Experience collaborating closely with sales teams and revenue leaders.
● Strong analytical mindset with advanced understanding of digital analytics (including GA4), SEO/GEO, CRO and digital marketing technologies.
● Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and strategic planning abilities.
● Experience managing internal marketing teams and external agencies.
● Hands-on leader who is comfortable operating both strategically and tactically — willing to roll up their sleeves to execute campaigns, analyze performance data, and solve problems when needed.
● Comfortable working inside operational systems such as NetSuite, HubSpot, and ecommerce platforms to understand product, sales, and marketing performance and ensure marketing efforts connect to business results.
● Ability to create accountability across internal team members and external partners, ensuring projects move forward on schedule and marketing commitments are delivered.
● Strong people management skills, including setting clear expectations, conducting regular performance reviews, and developing team members to improve results.
● Proven track record of driving revenue growth through marketing initiatives that improve customer acquisition, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value.
● High ownership mindset — takes responsibility for marketing outcomes, solves problems proactively, and understands that marketing performance ultimately rests with this role.
