Summary

We're seeking a talented and experienced Social Media Manager to manage our multi-brand social media accounts. They will manage our company image on social media in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals. The Social Media Manager is in charge of the company’s interactions with the public through social media platforms using a unified voice. They will devise and implement content strategies and collect engagement data. Ultimately, you should be able to increase our social media presence, ensuring high web traffic and engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for student engagement and creating dynamic campus communications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • Proven, 2-3 years of work experience as a social media manager
  • Hands-on experience in content management
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Solid knowledge of analytics
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, as well as copywriting skills
  • Proficient in Google Workplace, Canva, and Hootsuite; familiarity with other design software a plus
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of SEO, keyword research, Google, and online marketing channels

Responsibilities:

  • Manage communications and social media-related needs with individual campus ‘social media champions’
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Develop monthly and/or quarterly brand social media calendars for all brands
  • Generate, edit, schedule, publish, and share engaging content (e.g. original text, photos, videos, important links, and news) daily for all brands
  • Review & seek compliance approval for content made by other stakeholders, as necessary
  • Community management and maintenance of social media profiles and pages for all brands
  • Collaborate with other members of the marketing team, campus leadership, and compliance to ensure brand consistency
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries promptly, and monitor customer reviews
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, and layout) for all brands
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications
  • Research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences to develop brand awareness
  • Work with other marketing team members to address marketing needs from other departments, as needed
